Received my small hand axe today!! The axe looks well made and durable. The axe is not sharp at all so I have some work to do on that, but what impresses me is the weight and overall quality feel of the axe. The handle looks like quality hickory or ash wood. I like the overall shape of the axe. I think it will do a good job on kindling. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality hatchet for small jobs. Not only was the axe delivered blunt, it was dented and had some kind of coating applied. It will require substantial work just to make it usable. Either the favorable reviews are mendacious or the quality control is atrocious.
