The cat likes this to a point. She is a small cat. Sits down, goes for a ride but it gets really hot inside. All that plastic. My other cat is larger, she cannot stand or lay down. She can't sit up either. She has to loaf. Then she got hot. This is well made. We are happy with it. Just not for long trips. ... show more

I've been looking for a backpack for my big guy. He sits at about 17lbs, 15-17 inches tall sitting up (approximately), and HATES having no support in cloth carriers. As the owner, hardshell cases aren't easy to navigate for quick trips. This has been a good solution for us both. He's a taller cat, but he loves curling up in this. He's also calmer being able to see around him. The bottom does have a supportive insert & holds him really well without any sag. It does have a clip for a harness on the inside but my cat is big enough to still be clipped in and have half his body out, so exercise caution if you have an escape artist. It does have a chest strap that clips for the human & it comes in handy when keeping it from slipping or tilting. The padding on the shoulder straps are relatively comfortable too. Love having my hands free while he's chilling out in the back! I also like to run the car seatbelt through the back of the carrier so it's a bit more secure in the seat. He doesn't rock forward or move much in the car like that either. Something to keep in mind is the material in hot weather. Where I'm at gets to 100+ during the summer, so while it is well ventilated, the non-cloth areas of the bag can retain some heat a bit more than cloth/canvas. While it is fine for quick jaunts to and from areas with A/C, not sure I'd take him on long walks at peak times. I know, I know, who would, but you never know and thought I'd mention it. Overall happy with this product & loving how much easier it is to transport my big guy with it. ... show more

This pack works great for carrying around our small dog. The mesh is very airy for him and most of the time no one even notices it's a pet carrier until our puppy starts to whine for love from someone standing near us. Our puppy has even taken naps in the carrier when left open on the floor, he must find it very comfy in there to choose it over his overly fluffy bed. The only negatives that I have about the bag is that our backs get very sweaty, there's not enough ventilation but plenty of padding so i guess it's a sacrifice. The inside clip is not adjustable, which we assume is at one length so pet can lay down at any time. However, we wanted to have the pack on a chair next to us and open the flap but pup was able to jump out not feeling the pull back of the clip till he was completely out. Minor, extra want needed from pack but we adapted and still love the carrier. ... show more

My cat doesn’t get to go outside often due to where we live. So I purchased this backpack! It’s sturdy and it’s spacious for cats. If you have a pretty fat cat I’d get a bigger options my cat is petite and fits perfectly. It give him an opportunity to get fresh air and explore a little more than just a little house.
