There are so many great things about this bag. It has many slots, and spots to organize everything. It is so hard to find the perfect bag that is not too big, not too small, and will hold what you need to carry without being too heavy. This is all of that for me. I think it is cute as well, not as plain as some bags I was looking at. The slots are the right size to easily grab a card at the checkout quickly. The zippers perform well and do not get caught. It is a very good quality bag that will last for years. I really like that the front compartment zips closed and also has a flap that secures down. Your valuables are safe and secure and will not fall out. What I don't like about it: The strap is so slippery it is difficult to keep it on your shoulder when you are using the bag as a shoulder purse. I ordered a strap grip and that is helping but it isn't perfect. If they made the strap in a different fabric, it would really be perfect. Edit. I gave up on the strap and ordered a canvas one. It is making all the difference. Huge improvement. I’m not sure why this manufacturer provides such a slippery strap, but I really did not care for it. I absolutely love this purse and it doesn’t even show any wear after all this time, but it really needed an upgrade on the strap!

I am very happy with my new Baggallini Calais crossbody bag. I have another Baggallini bag and knew it had the quality I wanted. The Calais has many secure zippered sections and lots of pockets, a key leash - so I know where my keys are, a built in RFID wallet and a special pocket that easily holds my iPhone 16 Pro and is easy to access. It has a back pocket with snap to hold my lipstick, lotion, hair ties and nail file for which is convenient. I chose the shimmery silver color and love it. It’s a great neutral. It is lightweight and can be wiped off or washed. It holds everything I need, including two pairs of glasses, with a little room to spare.

I own a lot of Baggallini bags -- more than I'd like to admit -- and this is one of my favorites. The crossbody style is great for travel to keep my belongings secure, but I also like it for everyday use to free my hands. The organization with all the pockets is better than some since all the spaces are useful and logical. I can fit everything I want inside. The RFID-protected outer pocket with slots for cards, bills, and passport is welcome, although it does add weight to the bag; it closes with a zipper and then a metal twist clasp for extra security. In addition to the wallet outer pocket described above, the bag has an outer zippered pocket and a snap-closure slip pocket in the back. Inside, it has a zippered pocket, an elastic for a pen, and a wide-open space. The crossbody strap is adjustable to convert from various crossbody lengths to a shoulder bag. As with all Baggallinis, I love that the strap is wide and thick enough to keep thieves from easily slashing or breaking it; it connects to the bag with metal clips that are impossible to release if you are wearing it. I love that I can choose to stick my wallet inside or lighten my load even more by using the RFID-protected pocket as my wallet. As a frequent traveler, I usually choose a color base to my clothes -- black or blue -- and the navy is perfect for when I go with blue for my trip. It matches everything. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

It is a practical lightweight bag and suits my needs with all the separate compartments, Lightweight even when full. The only negative is that it gets dirty fast (I have pink) but I throw in wash machine and air dry as it washes well.

This bag is exceptionally well made. Because it is nylon and not leather, it is also very light, and easy to wipe down if a spill should get on it. The details in the design make it really stand out. All of the zipper pulls have a satin finish and a uniquely friendly feel. Now that I have it in my hands, I realize how superior it is to the cheap bags that I have been purchasing. In my opinion, this bag is the perfect size - neither too small nor too large. There are lots of zippers and pockets and places for all of my items, including a slip-in pocket with a magnetic snap closure which is perfect for my cell phone. The lining is lovely and the center compartment of this purse is very roomy and well gusseted for expansion. Everything about this little bag is attractive, the fabric the hardware, the tiny logo on the front. You will not be disappointed if you buy this bag

This purse is the perfect size for me. It carries all my cards, money, and sunglasses with lots of room to spare, and the phone slot should be in every purse made. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it cannot be seen outside the purse. Instructions are to only spot clean the purse, however, after a manicure I inadvertently touched the purse ending up with greasy lotion stains all over it. Spot cleaning made it worse and really unusable. So with nothing to lose, I thought I’d try washing it in the washer on gentle. It came out looking great, so into the dryer it went. Above are the photos after washing and drying. The only effect was a slight ripple in the outside zippers, but nothing anyone would notice. I did spray it with water repellent for future possible messy incidents. This is a last-resort recommendation so try the spot cleaning first.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for to take to Italy and France. It's comfortable as a cross body. The strap is very light and detachable, a plus if wearing under a jacket. The look is chic for a travel purse. It has many compartments. I can fit two pairs of glasses, and a 16 Max Pro iPhone, along with all the cards, money and passport necessary and even some makeup, and a city map. The material is soft and will not be irritating against the body. I have the black with gold hardware and it's very stylish. It also lays flat when needed to be stored in carry on bag.
