I purchased the board a couple of months ago, and I have been far from satisfied with the product's quality and warranty support. After just a few weeks and roughly 60 miles of riding in Seattle on well-paved roads, bike paths, and sidewalks, the board began to show signs of cracks. This was just normal riding, no collisions or incidents. I tried to ride it a few more times, but the cracks quickly grew larger and caused the deck to sag, making it too dangerous to continue using. When I reached out to the warranty support, they initially responded quickly and sent me a replacement deck for a DIY repair, as they apparently did not have an option to handle the repair themselves. However, the deck I received was visibly worn and used, with scuff marks, tags in sharpie from the previous owner, and torn foam/adhesive from the removed grip tape still on it. Although I was able to refurbish it with some effort, they did not provide any replacement grip tape to complete the repair. After a long delay, I just got a response telling me to carefully re-use the grip tape from my other board. Grip tape. From the other board. Even their own website states that their foam grip tape is a one-time use product that can't be reused after applied. And the poor state of the replacement board indicates even they aren't capable of carefully removing the foam grip tape. I let them know re-using the grip tape isn't possible for me to do, and didn't hear back. Conveniently they supported me through the warranty process just long enough for the Amazon claims period to expire. For what it's worth, it was a decent board for the few weeks it lasted. Fairly light and looks good compared to other electric longboards, at a decent price. The remote was good. The app is very rough, but it doesn't actually do anything so you don't have to use it. I hope I can update this review to be more positive, if I'm ever able to have a usable board again.

This is my first e-skateboard and so far it is VERY impressive. From the unboxing to the first ride, it's clear the company took pride in building and shipping this board. It does look amazing, and I'll say it rides even better than it looks!! Easy handling and the controls are precise. Was able to get used to it after ~30 minutes. Love the brakes, they really work well and it took me some time to get used to that! Great size wheels and the trucks seem robust with easy adjustments. Haven't drained the battery yet to test the range but from what I see now it'll be well over 10 miles, including quite a bit uphill riding. I appreciate that the board is not as flexible as some of the others I've seen and yet the ride is still smooth. The remote is high quality also - with a nice and helpful screen, even for a quick glance while riding. Overall this gets a highly recommend from me for beginners and experienced riders alike. Thank you Backfire for an awesome product at a great price point and kudos to Amazon for fast shipping.

Before I write the review, I would like to say that I have purchased a Backfire Skateboard in the past and it worked great for over 3 years and roughly 2500 miles. I also made a review video on the old board as I enjoyed it that much! I purchased this board and the rear right motor stopped working with less than 100 miles put on it! The board looks great and feels stable while riding, but with this board being completely electric, I have no use for it if the motors are not working. The board also does not turn on anymore even after completely charging it. The remote also will not connect to the board which makes me wonder if I got a defective board. The board came packaged well and brand new. Pulling it out of the box, I had high hopes for this board and enjoyed the short few miles that I put on it. I also live in Hawaii and it had taken roughly a month for it to ship out here... a bit concerning as it says it did not leave the shipping facility until 3 days before my receiving date. I can confirm that the board was used on only dry and relatively smooth surfaces. I checked all of the wiring components and everything is attached correctly. With this issue being a bust, I am unsure if the company would be willing to give a refund, but I will update this listing if anything progresses.

The charging port nut was loose and the port was pulled out after the first charge. To fix that I'll have to peel off the grip tape to get sccess to the screws and open the cover to tighten the screw. I ended up super glue the chatgring port back. Other than that it looks great and rides well.

Backfire G3 era version is very fast and powerful at the same time it breaks beautifully. Same issue as the backfired G2 going uphills and loses considerable amount of power although as an entry-level board under $500 for beginners It is unbelievable. And backfire boards are known to go thousands of miles. A friend has gone 3,000 to be exact ,and still going.

I really enjoy the board. It’s one of the lightest available and still has good range and top speed. I use it all the time at college and it makes my life a lot easier. The reason I’m giving only 3 stars is that the grip on the deck cracks really easily and isn’t smoothly applied. It curves up at the edges so you can sort of feel the pressure on your feet but other than that it’s great.
