What devices does Backbone Pro work with? Backbone Pro works with iPhone 15+, USB-C Androids, & wired computers/tablets. It supports BLE wireless connections (but not Bluetooth classic like Switch). An optional Backbone+ subscription unlocks premium features like recording and social tools. Do I have to remove my phone case to use my phone with Backbone Pro? Backbone Pro comes with two sets of removable, magnetic adapters that allow your phone to have the best possible fit, no matter if you have a phone case or not. For details about specific phone case compatibility, please visit the Backbone help desk. Does Backbone Pro need to be charged? Backbone Pro offers 40 hours of wireless play after a USB-C charge. When docked with a phone or hardwired to a computer/tablet, no charging is required as the controller is powered by the device and allows passthrough charging via the USB-C port. Does Backbone Pro connect directly to consoles like Xbox or PlayStation? No, Backbone Pro cannot connect directly to consoles like Xbox or PlayStation. However, Backbone Pro lets you play your console games through services like Xbox Gamepass, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Remote Play, and PS Remote Play. What games can I play with Backbone Pro? Play mobile titles (CoD, Roblox), stream via cloud (Xbox, GeForce), or use Remote Play. I actually like it a lot. I use GeForce Now to play games through my steam library and so far I’m pretty impressed. Played through a couple matches of dark tide and connectivity held up through my home wifi. Playing fallout 4 also looks really good. Graphics through GeForce now Look way Better than using cloud gaming through Xbox game pass. This won’t replace my steam deck but it’s still fun using your iPhone to game. Reminds me having a lil game boy. Also there is a subscription for backbone, it’s like 39.99 for the year and it acts as a hub to access your gaming library from various sources. And I believe it acts as a warranty. It’s not a problem for me but I think it’s a good price. ... show more

I’ve enjoyed this quite a bit, my son (he got the backbone) and I can now play Xbox games together, as well as other games. I like the full-size joysticks and the hall sensors give me more confidence in durability. The added size for joysticks and onboard battery doesn’t add that much weight. Was surprised how fast the battery dies, but that is a function of the phone, even though this does have a battery (I’m not sure how it interacts in my situation, it might only work when it isn’t connected to a phone, when it’s in Bluetooth mode?). I use with an iPhone 16Pro Max, and a thin case. I am not using a left side adaptor as it fits this phone the best. ... show more

First phone handheld and love it! I play Moble games and remote play from my Xbox. I have had it for 3 months and only charged it once the first time when I got it. Had high hopes for this one. this was supposed to be good but again. I don’t think so, These guys tested it against devices or it is designed for device in which are old or with a certain set of exemptions that are not valid anymore like iPhone will have a back cover.
