I owned the first-generation Backbone and absolutely loved it until it finally gave out and the buttons stopped working. I decided to pick up the Backbone Pro, and I’m so glad I did, this thing is incredible. I’m a huge PC and console gamer, and the Pro makes it feel like I never leave my setup behind. The wireless connection to both my iPhone and iPad is flawless, there is no lag, no drops, just smooth gameplay every time. The new back paddles are a great touch and remind me of my Xbox Elite controller. They’re super handy for fast-paced games like Fortnite and Call of Duty while on the go. The best part is being able to play my Steam games right from my phone. I couldn’t do that before, and now it feels natural. Overall, the Backbone Pro is a major step up from the original its comfortable, responsive, and totally worth it for any serious gamer. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Its a somewhat fine item, I like the feel of it better but the Backbone app is nothing more than an advertisement. It keeps showing me services I do not own, nor want, and the games I do own/play via the Play Store are no where to be seen. I have to leave the app to start those games. Second big issue. For a 169 dollars I fully expect to be able to use my phone case with the controller but the USB-C won't seat fully in and this is with me removing braces. My 35 dollar GameSir X5 hands that with no issues... I can connect via Bluetooth and it works fine but I I was hoping to just use USB-C for simplicity shake. Edit: Taking away the 2 star for a 1 star. The game I got for this, Tom Clancy's The Division: Resurgance, shows up as not having controller support when it clearly does but for a 7.99 a month fee the app will add it. WTF.

It’s good and works well enough for Fortnite but I don’t like that they have a relatively expensive paid subscription service to access other games considering how expensive the controller is. If I had known about gamesir controllers I probably would have gone with that instead. Other controllers have Hall effect sticks and better ergonomics at a lower price.

It work’s seamlessly when connecting to both my iPhone or iPad for mobile gaming. As well as working decently for some of my steam games on PC. The connection is almost instant with barely any lag and feels great in my hands when playing games! It’s comfortable and not too big or too small. The backbone pro surely is a great way to play games on the move like at work during lunch break, on a road trip, at home or anywhere else to wind down after a long day!
