Bought this to test the quality and give it a try since they look professional. These are my findings: Sound quality is rich and crispy for both voice and audio. Treble and bass are balanced for different type of genre. Connection is reliable, and performance is overall great. However, I found the sound to be lacking decibels, which perhaps explains the sound quality. At higher levels, sound tends to distortion in most earbuds I’ve tried and Plantronics didn’t want to risk it. I don’t necessarily like to listen to music loud but I like to have the option to add more volume if needed. Comfort and fit are perfect. I usually get tired of wearing earbuds and feel like the ear canals are swelling or becoming irritated. Not with these design. They feel comfortable, almost like my old Bose soundsport. I never had earbuds that fit so perfectly and I’ve tried Sennheoser, JBL, Jam, Audio Technica, Apple, and a few other no-name ones. Anyways, I recommend this to someone who cares about their ears and wants clear, HD sound earbuds. I had to return mine because the case was lacking needed feedback that cheaper devices already have, namely a led that tells when your earbuds are fully charged, battery level, etc. I am considering trying the new Jabra 75t and they don’t work for me I’ll buy these again.

Broke the first day I tried to pair it. Now the right bud has no audio. Can't put into pair mode. Bought some super cheap FunEars to get me by and they've been flawless. Polycom support couldn't fix. They offered to send a replacement. I'll update if I ever get the replacement. The one test call I made was ok. Audio sounded good to me. The guy I called said my end just sounded ok. maybe like a decent speakerphone. That's a big dissapointment. This was my last ditch effort to avoid a boom mic for work :(

Took a few calls and was told I sounded loud and clear. I told the caller I was planning on using this for business calls and they indicated it sounded perfect for that use. There also seems to a side tone, so you're not yelling with the buds in your ears. The sound is good and the typical Plantronics signature (big bass, slightly pulled back/"cleaned up" mid range, and a splash of treble). If you've heard the BackBeat Pro 2 Over Ear, it's fairly similar. They have touch and physical controls as well that can be customized to a certain extent. Quite a few features that cater to the professional user, so I can see these as a daily driver for the office. Fit is great and very comfortable. The physical buttons are easy to press and are positioned in a way that the buds don't jam into your ear canal. Firmware updates available via App. Nice compact case. I just wish it was USB-C, but all-in-all, this is a very solid package. By contrast, the RHA TrueConnect (same price) has a much nicer case (metal, USB-C), but it's a larger and not as travel friendly. And just forget about calls (echos, "reverb" sounding). They also don't fit nearly as well due to the bulbous design, with far fewer bells & whistles. The bass of the BackBeat Pro 5100 is better than the RHA TrueConnect.

I bought these in March 2020 and I loved these ear buds. The sound was amazing and people on calls said I came in perfectly clear. Then yesterday when I connected to a call, the person on the other could hear me fine but I couldn't hear them. I could hear music and audiobooks but not people on phone calls.I removed them from my iphone bluetooth, rebooted and still no sound. I charged them fully, still no sound. For the price I paid they should last much longer. I thought Plantronics was a brand I could trust. In the past I have had great experience. Looked online for troubleshooting help and didn't have any luck. Very disappointed.

Pros well build case and earbuds , Each of the buds can be used indipendently. Excellent call quality. Solid battery life. Small case. Comfortable fit with stable tips that aren't going anywhere. Cons, about $100 to much considering sound, features etc. could use a bit mor treble. These True Wireless earbuds have a lot to offer, and are versatile for a wide variety of use cases. i want to start with call quality. This year i've reviewed about 20 different models of True Wireless earbuds, including jabra Elite65T, sennheiser momentum, Tranya B530, PSB M4U TW1 to name a few of them. There are 5 models that stuck out for call quality, the mpow T5, lypertek Tevi, jabra Elite 65T Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless and the Backbeat Pro 5100. The Backbeat pro 5100 separate themselves in 1 regard, they are capable of converting your phones HD voice call into each earpiece. This means that the clear sound you often hear when calling fellow customers on your respective carrier which comes through on your phone is also compatible with these earbuds. The result is that you and your party can hear each other with a lot of clarity, as opposed to the muffled sound which is prevelent while making calls with many headsets. Some of them work very well yes, but i haven't found a set as of yet that tops the backbeat pro up to this point. even while leaving my phone in a room then walking around corners with concrete walls and getting 50 feet or so away from the phone, callers could hear me with no problem and there was no cutting out on my end. I then turned on a shop vacuum to see how much of that noise came through on the call. Callers said they could hear it when i stood right next to it, but the sound of it was muted enough that they didn't struggle to hear my end of the conversation. There is an app to use with these earphones, and it has a few different preset sound signatures to choose from. i ended up prefering the default for these earphones, as the other settings weren't substantially different. The default setting has plentiful, quality bass. It could be tighter, but it is full and not fatiguing. Mids are dialed back but are balanced enough. The music isn't clear by any means, but it isn't muffled or muddy. There is somewhat of a balance. It isn't accurate or neutral, but it's mostly proportionate. one exception being upper mids and treble. Honestly if these were brought out mor in the mix, combined with the other features i've previously mentioned, I possibly would have considered keeping them. But for the price, though the sound quality isn't bad, it just isn't $169 good. And not throwing plantronics under the bus here, the jabra Elite 65 T sells for $150 or around there, and despite it's EQ options, it doesn't sound on par with the backbeat pro 5100. i haven't yet had a chance to test the 75T for comparison, but since jabra is still selling the 65T it is worth mentioning. The buds are toward the higher end of products when it comes to battery life. Based on volume and use of both buds simultaneously results may varry, but the 6.5 hours plantronics quotes was reflective of my experience. The case holds an additional 2 charges. Yes some cases hold mor, but this case is small and very pocketable. Not to mention the case stays shut and only opens when you press a button on the front. The case charges via micro USB and comes in a deep sleep mode once it arrives. After charging the case, before pulling the earbuds out, push in on the button for 3-5 seconds. The case and buds are well built, and the tips snap on and are so secure, i can't think of any activity one would do that would make them fall off while in use. The earbuds come with 3 tip sizes, the medium being installed by default. I got the best fit with the smallest tips. it's a good thing these tips are secure, as they seem to be proprietary. But they are good quality, and i'd imagine replacements could be purchased from plantronics if needed. over all, this is a great Headset. If it were $99 or even $129, i would have seriously considered keeping them. That said, if portability and excellent call quality are top priorities with music being secondary, these are likely your best bet. And the sound quality doesn't take a back seat at all, just could be adjusted slightly to match the cost of the earbuds.
