When you are over 55, and 5' tall, when it comes to your shoes, comfort, and height are usually something that do not go together. Can you find comfort, yes, but you usually settle for flats. Can you find height, yes, but then you get high heels, not comfort, and with heels, you have the fear of needing to wear a "life alert" to call for help when "you've fallen and can't get up". So, when you find something that will give you a little hidden lift for some discrete height, and they are comfortable, and doesn't look like you are trying to wear a shoe that is too young for your age, but you are getting something stylish that doesn't age you. Then this ankle bootie by Bacia will be a dream come true. They arrive in a sturdy shoe box and are packaged with inserts to keep the boots shape, they are soft to the touch, easy to get on and off with the inside zipper. The non-slip heels are super impressive, not sure this Florida girl will get to test them out on the ice, but they will leave really cool tread marks in the sand. I am looking forward to wearing these out with my jeans and being able to walk in comfort and style. Without a doubt I give these cute booties two thumbs up and think you would be happy with a purchase based on comfort, fit, and quality. It is always hard to find shoes online without trying them on at a store because everyone's feet are so different. I was very pleased to be able to order my normal size 6 shoes, take them out of the box, put them on and have them fit, they even have a little room to spare, so I can easily put on a comfortable pair of socks or add a thin shoe insert if necessary. I think this is a smart purchase and a fair price for what you are getting.

I wear size 9.5 women's and these fit perfectly. I'm also 5'5"-ish, which is technically short for that shoe size. I'm happy to report that these don't look like clown shoes on me. They actually look kind of cute, and they look better when I'm wearing jeans. I wore these all day a couple days ago, and they are not super comfortable yet. They got more comfy as the day wore on, but the soles are kind of hard and will take a few days to soften up. They aren't hard like walking barefoot on the tile floor, but they are harder than comfy sneakers. I'm also used to flats, so wearing heels means using some calf muscles I'm not used to. I might break down and put comfy inserts in them. I didn't measure the height of the heel, but it's at least a couple of inches. The zippers run smoothly. The upper parts of the boots are not super soft, but they are comfy. The main problem I had was that the top edges are still kind of hard and rub against my skin. I was wearing ankle socks that stopped just below where the edges are. I think I'll need to wear longer socks for these. TL;DR: These are OK out of the box, but they need to be broken in a little. They are true to size. The soles are not as soft as tennis shoes and might need cushioned insert. They look cute and don't make your feet look too big.

I'm really impressed with these booties - they are SO cute and comfortable, and the quality is excellent! Although these booties are not made of real leather, they definitely give the "real" appearance and feel of leather and the shoe material is very soft and flexible overall. The thick and durable rubber soles are very good quality as well, and they're designed in a way so that they're rugged and grippy enough to provide great footing traction on all types of surfaces. The side zipper on both of the booties glides up and down very easily and it stays put in the up position while you're walking and wearing the booties. I especially love the small wedge in the heel - I am 5'7" and I prefer not to wear "high" wedges or heels these days, so the short (1 inch or so) slight wedge in the heel is the perfect height and comfort level, as you can barely feel the wedge while walking or standing, they almost feel like you're wearing flats as I hardly notice the difference and they do not add to your height either which is awesome! I wear a 9.5 shoe and I usually size up when purchasing boots online for fear that the boot will be too small or narrow to get my foot inside or to zip up, but I took my chances with ordering my exact size in these and they fit perfectly and are 100% true to size! I highly recommend giving these booties a try for a stylish look this fall and winter as they are super trendy and are excellent quality shoes for a very small fraction of what you will pay for name brand shoes of the same style - these are definitely a great purchase that you will be VERY pleased with!
