These are so smooth. My barber uses them to cut my facial hair on my jaws and around my goatee. So far, I have never been nicked. I finally got around to buying them for myself for in-between barber visits. Very clean, smooth, precise cuts. My facial hair is thick and hard, so I’m very selective about what I trim and cut with. These are perfect because they’re cordless, the battery life is exceptional, and they don’t overheat at all. Additionally, they are a cinch to travel with, and not to mention, quite the conversation starter. This trimmer, along with the MetalFX Clipper and matching pouches, would be a great gift set for a brother or in-law. Update: the previous was written after 2 weeks of regular use. On the 3rd week, I noticed that my skin has fully acclimated to these trimmers. Meaning, a couple of ingrown hair bumps healed and didn’t come back. I think this is because of the smoothness of the blades. But admittedly, there is some careful, well-trained, hand-eye coordination and a correct amount of pressure on my jawline, chin, and neck for taking hair off. I am not a barber but enjoy cutting my own hair especially during these trying times. It has been almost impossible to find a reliable outlining true zero-gap trimmer. None of the lower priced trimmers did the job. I finally decided to put my money where my mouth is. This is truly a top of the line trimmer. It looks nice, compact and well built, without a lot of the unnecessary bells and whistles. It just flat works. For those who desire sharper lines, it comes with a zero adjustment tool. I am okay with the results I got from the blade setting that came with the trimmer. It holds its charge during use with much to spare. Many professional barbers, and I, love this trimmer. I've been using my trusty Andis T-Outliner to trim my beard for years, but sometimes it pulls my beard, it's noisy, and it isn't cordless. I saw a conversation on Reddit about the BaBylissPRO and it looked impressive, so I bought it. As soon as I got it, I trimmed my beard and it worked flawlessly. No hair pulling. No awkward cord to work around. It was also lighter and quieter than I expected. Based on the results I saw on Reddit, I was expecting a slightly closer trim, but maybe it just needs some adjustment.     • Effective as ever but not the materials and feel you’d expect
I have a mixed feelings about this trimmer. First off, let me just say the trimmer works like a charm and is 100% zero gap adjustable. He even comes with tools to dial in both sets of the clipper side so that you can get them zeroed in perfectly. As far as the trimming goes through hair on neck with no effort Well getting extremely close to the skin and does not snag hair or cut skin at all, at least with the graphite blade. That all being said and being good about the products the only part I don’t like is the fact that this razor is $200 and it feels cheap and sounds cheap. The sound really does sound horrible it sounds like it cost about 20 bucks and it’s very loud and sounds plasticky. As far as the materials used the clipper is not as heavy as it looks as most of the material surrounding the outside that touches your hand is actually plastic. I really would’ve given it a much better rating if, for that price, this was heavy duty and made out of metal and cold to the touch and felt heavy in the hand. I have the single blade screen clipper for my face made by baby bless with the metal As well and that is a great product it’s cold to the touch as it’s made out of steel and it’s nice and heavy in the hand as any product for a man should be. ... show more

    • The best trimmer I've used
I shave my head and have used a few different trimmers and this one is easily the best that I have used. Cuts all hair the first pass through and I never have to go over the same spot twice.
