These are great! So easy to install and use. They work perfectly for keeping our toddler out of our cleaning cabinets, etc. They are sturdy, holding up to our toddler constantly pulling on them. They hold our cabinets completely shut. Very happy with these! They work perfectly.

I live with a tiny, determined roommate who has the grip strength of a mountain climber and the curiosity of a cat on catnip. Before I bought these locks, my kitchen was basically a 24-hour "free-for-all" rave where the only guest was a one-year-old throwing pot lids like frisbees. The Tactical Defense: These things look like giant, plastic tuning forks, but they are incredibly effective. The Installation: It’s so easy a caveman could do it—or even a sleep-deprived parent at 2:00 AM. No tools, no drilling, no tears (at least from the adults). The "Toddler Proof" Rating: My kid stared at this lock for twenty minutes with the intensity of a grandmaster playing chess. He tugged. He grunted. He tried to reason with it. The locks held firm. * The "Adult Proof" Rating: I’ll be honest, the first time I tried to open it while holding a crying baby and a cup of coffee, the lock won. It’s a bit of a puzzle for the uninitiated, which means it’s working perfectly. Final Verdict: If you want to stop your child from reorganizing your heavy cast-iron pans at 6:00 AM, buy these. They are simple, they are sturdy, and they have a name that is fun to say while you’re hiding in the pantry eating the "good" snacks in peace. 10/10. My cabinets are now a fortress.

Easy to use with 2 options on the locking feature. For starters, I used the Safety First version of these and the teeth are so rough when you finally can get it unlatched, you're lucky if you don't pinch your fingers too!! It happened to me several times. Unlike the Safety First version, the lock on these will slide completely off the U shape piece. However... anyone saying these don't work or they aren't strong enough are using the " easy latch" part of these. If you pull the locking piece off there are little lock images on the front on the " locking side". Put that side on the U bracket FIRST if you need this to actually lock on. If you put it on with the locking image on the other end, as you feed it onto the u bracket, it will slide on but it's not actually locking. I'm using these to keep my cat out of a couple kitchen cabinets because he opens them. The chemical cabinet is locked with the locking side on first and my other cabinet which isn't toxic is using the non locking side which allows me to just slide it off without pinching the lock first. These are sturdy easy to use locks that I have not pinched my fingers in yet!!

Pros: The U-Shaped Child Locks for Cabinets have been a lifesaver in my home. These locks are incredibly easy to use! Just slide them on, and you're good to go. They fit a wide range of cabinet handles and knobs, which is perfect for our mix of furniture. The best part is how effectively they keep curious little hands out. My toddler hasn't managed to bypass these yet, giving me much-needed peace of mind. They're also easy for adults to open, which means no struggling when you need to grab something quickly. The sleek design blends in well with our kitchen and bathroom decor, so they don't stick out like an eyesore. Cons: There is only one problem I have found with them. The lock side is only one way locking. If you put it on backwards, which you can just fine and it seems fine, then it will be able to be pulled right off the end. Found this out by experience from my toddler. Overall: Overall, the U-Shaped Child Locks for Cabinets are a great addition to any childproofing arsenal. They offer an excellent balance of security and convenience, effectively keeping little explorers out of harm's way without causing too much hassle for adults. While they aren't perfect for every cabinet type their ease of use and reliable performance make them a solid choice for keeping your home safe. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a simple yet effective solution to childproof their cabinets.

It works but breaks easily due to the plastic nature of the item. My toddler pulled on it and it broke pretty easily. If you put the lock on the wrong way it doesn’t actually lock. It does the job, just not as well as it could.
