  • Where Musical Fun Meets Early Learning!
Color: Piano
The Overview: The Baby Einstein and Hape Magic Touch Piano is a delightful fusion of traditional wooden toy craftsmanship with modern interactive technology, designed for children from 6 months upwards. Here's my take on this innovative toddler toy: The Good: Magic Touch Technology: The standout feature is undoubtedly the Magic Touch mechanism, which allows music to play with just a soft tap on the wooden surface. This makes it accessible even for the youngest users, encouraging early musical exploration without the need for physical buttons or keys. Educational Value: This piano introduces babies to different tones, scales, and melodies through its play modes. It comes with 5 double-sided sheets of music for learning classic tunes, fostering early cognitive development, color coordination, and fine motor skills. Durability and Safety: Made from high-quality wood, the piano is sturdy and sanded smooth to prevent splinters. The bright, appealing colors are not only engaging but also safe, with child-friendly materials. Volume Control: Appreciated by parents, the piano includes volume settings, allowing for adjustments based on the environment, making it less overwhelming for both baby and adults. The Not-So-Good: Battery Requirement: It requires 3 AA batteries (not included), which can be an ongoing cost and environmental consideration, though typical for electronic toys. Limited Complexity: While perfect for beginners, as children grow, they might find the musical options somewhat limited compared to more complex instruments or toys. Overall: This Magic Touch Piano by Baby Einstein and Hape is an exceptional tool for introducing toddlers to the world of music. It's both educational and fun, serving as an excellent first instrument that's safe, durable, and easy to use. The only minor drawbacks concern the battery dependency and the potential for older toddlers to outgrow its simplicity, but for the intended age group, it's nearly perfect. Pros: Innovative touch technology for easy play Educational, encouraging cognitive and motor skill development Durable, safe construction with appealing design Adjustable volume for different settings Cons: Requires batteries, adding to operational costs Might not satisfy older children seeking more musical complexity Conclusion: If you're looking for a toy that combines the joy of music with developmental benefits for your little one, this piano is a solid investment. It's crafted to spark curiosity and creativity in an engaging, safe manner, making it a wonderful addition to any toddler's toy collection. ... show more

  • Cute and fun
Color: Piano
This piano is the cutest thing ever! My little one LOVES playing with it. The magic touch feature is super cool—no buttons, just tap the wood, and it makes music! It’s so colorful and the sounds are nice and gentle, perfect for toddlers. It’s also really sturdy, so I don’t have to worry about it breaking. It’s definitely become one of my baby’s favorite toys, and I love that it helps with early learning. So happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Adorable, well-made first piano for babies and toddlers!
Color: Piano
The media could not be loaded. This little piano is absolutely adorable and feels like great quality. It’s made almost entirely of wood, except for the plastic legs, and has such a charming, classic look. My baby is only 6 months old, so a bit on the younger side for it, but she already loves tapping the keys and playing with the included music sheets. I really appreciate that it has two volume settings, perfect for little ears (and parents, too!). It’s a wonderful way to introduce babies and toddlers to music and start sparking their curiosity and creativity early on. ... show more

  • Favorite Baby Toy
Color: Cal’s First Melodies Piano
We love this little piano. My kid loves all the different sounds it makes, from the piano, cats, & dogs. It has also lasted through my kid throwing it multiple times! Happy to be able to keep this for the next child as well.

  • ** 8/10/2019 Update | Not 100% accurate, but great nonetheless
Color: Drum
** 8/10/2019 Update Another user review commented on this, but the drum began to emit stuttering sounds when switched on, preventing the drum from playing. After swapping out the default 3 AA batteries with new ones, it works perfectly again! Just a note for customers looking to purchase this in the future, in case any of the "stuttering issues" may prevent them from a purchase. ----------- In short, the toy itself is very sturdy and has held up for the past month, despite the toddler banging on it with his wooden-block toys. It has a few scratch marks on it already, but the sound works fine. A few notes about the drum and the sounds: - The drum itself does not require the user to exert much strength to get the drum to trigger a sound, so you can simply tap the drum pads with your finger, or even wave your hands slightly close to the pad. - The drum sounds/pads can trigger slower paced rhythms fine on a single drum-pad, but usually anything faster will prevent the drum from playing sound properly. The far-left/far-right drum pads seem to be the most fickle, as I cannot consistently get the drum to play a sound faster than a 16th note (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t). - The drum also has some classical music built-into the machine, which plays when pressing the large blue-button located in the center. This is great for exposing toddlers to music early-on. At the end of the day, the toy is perfect for the kid, and he loves using it for drumming, a stool to grab hard-to-reach items, and for random bouts of stress release with his toy-blocks. ... show more
