It’s sturdy and looks good, but it was designed for MacBooks. That means there are vent holes on the bottom where my Microsoft surface has no vents. It bugs me but it still fits well.

I picked up an exterior cover for my wife's laptop, so I figured I could use one for mine as well. This really gives a laptop a deep gloss finish. It snaps on snugly and doesn't jiggle around at all. I really like the keyboard cover since the one from my old Surface Book doesn't fit a Surface Laptop quite right (almost, but just a smidge off). This keyboard cover is so snug that my son didn't realize I had one on at first. I do like that it came with a screen protector, but I'm likely to upgrade to a glass one instead. There is one thing I hope to do with the top cover that most won't... My daughter is good at painting on the underside of clear covers (hint, you have to layer everything backwards, which is awkward), so I hope to get her to paint our puppies on it. By painting it on the underside, you don't have to worry about the paint rubbing off since it still will have the glossy cover protecting it. In that state, the snug fit can really help reduce wear between the laptop and the cover, but can also prove a hindrance if the paint gets layered on too thickly. ... show more
