Only reason it didn’t receive 5 stars is because the instructions didn’t come in English and hooking the ground was weird. If you’re a dabbler and want to just spot weld stuff this is absolutely fine. If you have been welding for the past 40 years then buddy you already know.

First off, I am not a professional welder. I barely know enough to do the job, and am learning as I go. However, I don't think the feeder on this unit is well built. I am unsure if it is just the tension on the mechanism, or if it isn't properly aligned, or what, but when using wire feed the feed rate is NOT smooth at all. It jams and binds constantly, making me spend more time fixing the welder than I spend fixing the project I am working on. The TIG function is nice, since I can actually run that on household power, but it didnt come with a TIG head in the kit, so I had to source my own. The welding helmet is nice, and it does function as it is supposed to, but the machine is just hit and miss when it comes to wire feed. I dont happen to have any arc rods on hand to test the arc functions, but it did come with the proper attachments for stick and wire feed. As far as control goes, you can change the voltage and the feed speed of the wire, but again, since the wire feeder isn't working right, it doesn't matter what you set the speed to. From my own testing, I was able to use the TIG function for a solid 5 minutes before the welder stopped, and wire feed for about 2 on average when I got that side working. All in all, there are far better models for the same price, and while they may not handle all 3 forms of welding, they do at least do their job well and they tend to come with ALL of the hardware they need for their functions. Only purchase this one if you know how to fix the wire feed on it, and if you would like to purchase the head for the TIG function.

This is a nice little welder for small at home repairs. It is easy to use and is light weight. Comes with everything you need for mig.

Got today opened up to use for a job. The helmet is not good. Say right for left and left for right side. I tried to weld and does nothing at all. Put it in the highest setting and still no weld. The ground cable was horrible quality. I went to place the ground clamp and the ground slid right out of the terminal crimp. The end of the ground that goes to the machine itself also has wires sticking out of the end. Not pleased at all.
