I’ve never tried powered dip before and found the process to be rather easy! I need to clean up the edges a little, but overall very satisfied with the simplicity, quick drying, and not having to use a gel lamp. TIME was the biggest selling point for me! It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish on both hands. I’m right handed so I wanted to show how pretty my right hand turned out using my non dominant hand. Definitely recommend this for the price and ease of application. If you follow the directions exactly as they’re stated, the results are stunning! Super satisfied! (The black part on my thumb nail cuticle is from me slamming my thumb in a drawer at work 3 weeks ago and it’s still growing out) ... show more

I am so glad I bought this set. I have done 2 sets already. Photos are from 2nd. This is my first time doing this, so I am still learning, but the second application looks much better than the first. I have watched tutorials to learn better application techniques. Only down side is they do not provide an orange stick (wood nail stick) to help clean product up around cuticle while soft before it hardens. I purchased those, as well as 80 grit course nail files, 100/180 grit nail files, and a buffer set to do an absolute full manicure. But for a starter set, this is very good. I purchased a large clear dip powder from this exact company to make the first layer and 4th/5th layers clear. This is to protect the nail from over filing down when doing a new manicure, as well as to allow filing protection during shaping so that the color remains perfect beneath the clear layer(s). It was recommended not to over file the nail during prep, but to just file lightly enough to remove the shine, otherwise natural nail can be come thin(ner), weak(er), and sensitive. You want at least 4 layers to keep product thick for protection as well as to prevent chipping. As you can see in the pictures I provided how well the product works after just a week of grow out. However, when applied, or filed down too thin, it won't be as effective. Thicker is better since there is so much filing down and shaping after all dips are done. I may add additional photos later once I get better to show exactly how great this product is. I have gotten lots of compliments. But it requires time, and patience. Pictures do not do the product justice. The set is so pretty. I give 4 star reviews instead of 5 stars because 5 starts is always inflated reviews, when 4 and below are more honest. I should have known when Amazon noted this was a frequently returned item that something was off, but I ordered it anyway. The colors were off in the kit, almost grayish. I thought maybe they would look more bright when actually applied since it’s just powder, so I went ahead and did my first dip, being careful to follow the instructions to a tee. They looked fine at first, even though I didn’t love how the color turned out, however, they started cracking the same night and chipping around the edges the next day. After two days I had to remove them. It ripped my nails up, but I thought maybe I had done something wrong. I waited a few days and tried again, and applied a thicker coat hoping that would prevent the cracking. It did, but they looked so thick and lumpy. Not good at all. When I was ready to remove those after only a few days because I just didn’t like them, I read instructions and was as careful as I could be. It peeled away the top layer of my nails, and tore several nails around the edges. They looked awful and I had to cut my nails dreadfully short since the ends were so frail. I really wanted to like this, and I really wanted to give every color in the kit a chance since it looked so beautiful online…but it just isn’t worth it. I threw it in the trash and am just going back to my regular nail routine. ... show more

The stars are cuz the directions are easy to follow and my nails do look beautiful right after I apply the product. I watched videos of tips and tricks like not over doing the base coat and using more of step 2 bottle to make it stronger and less likely to break/crack. But the nails only look pretty for maybe a day. Within 24hours after applying and setting the nails, my nails break or crack. I was expecting that this would be quite hard to remove so I wasn’t surprised. Long soaking and lots of scrubbing. Use oil with your nail polish remover to help with keeping your skin moisturized. Just used this for the first time and it was so much quicker than using regular nail polish! It’s more steps but you don’t have to sit and wait for your nails to dry like with normal nail polish, it was completely dry after a couple minutes. It seems like it will hold up better and longer than just regular nail polish too! ... show more

Easy to use, includes the steps to do it right. Perfect for beginners. The jars are small, when you put your fingers in, you drop/waste some of the product. The smell on the liquids as base, top, etc are really strong. You better have a window open because otherwise your eyes would cry. I like it, it’s easy and quick to dry.
