I have a steel garage that has a "shorter than I'd like" overhang at the walk-in man door. If you're fumbling to unlock the door on a rainy day you will get wet. This awning will be better than enough distance to keep me dryer if I have lock issues getting in. It's also better if your arms are full of groceries, etc. It says it's very wind resistent. We shall see. I had 60 mph winds here the other day. If it can take that then it's all good.

I throw the thing in the trash, after fighting for an hour trying to put it to gather. Nothing would fit right, and the self-taping screws would in large the holes when you tried to screw them in. A total piece of junk.
