I think I feel better on these, more focused. Although hard to notice benefits in antioxidant supplements sometimes, I think they are there especially longterm. There is a review mentioning toxicity, in the review they even say ‘at 150–300 mg/kg’ there is toxicity seen. The ‘per kg’ is very important. A 150 lb person (~70 kg), would have a toxicity reaction then at 10,500 mg, not 150 mg.

Don't take supplements w/o doing research. The market is highly unregulated and you just don't know what you'll get. The chemical myrosinase is heat sensitive (which is why uncooked broccoli is best), so I'm also nervous about heat degrading my sulforaphane. I heard about sulforaphane via Dr. Rhonda Patrick and tried to do my due diligence by listening to a 2 hr interview with John Hopkins researcher Jed Fahey, then perused his accreditations @ John Hopkins and his Chemoprotection Center site. The stuff is known to work on autism modestly and with some symptoms of asthma. It is also researched for positive effects on prostate cancer, tobacco carcinogens / cancer and even schizophrenia. Look it up on WebMd and speak to your doctor about it, especially if you're on any other prescription medication. I'm using both Avamacol and Jarrow Broccomax, which is also being used in studies (just not as much as Avamacol).

This was actually a bit stimulating for me and caused a little bit of irritation or agitation. I am in a small group of people with genetic variants that cause slower clearance of sulfur related compounds... CBS/SUOX genes that predispose me to slower sulfur clearance. Even at a half or quarter of a pill, I still felt mildly overstimulated and had trouble sleeping. It resolved about 2 days after discontinuation. I tried it a second time for a few days, and the issue reemerged again. To be very clear, I believe that most of the population will not experience what I have experienced because the majority of the population don't have the same genetic variance as I do. This supplement is very effective and beneficial for those who can tolerate it. It has been used in a one or two studies, to my knowledge.

This may not be the fault of the manufacturer, but this product gave me stomach pain. I have a medical condition affecting my stomach, and this product contains a little amount of wasabi, which apparently is enough to affect me.
