The media could not be loaded. I rarely give 5 stars in a review before putting the product to use a few times, but I am making an exception in this case. As of writing this review, there are already 7 other reviews. All by Amazon Vine members like myself. With that, there are plenty of photos and accurate reports on this product so I am going to address a couple concerns that others have had. Additionally, I made a video to explain. 1) The dual pin locking. Both pins work in tandem but you need to depress the lower pin (closer to the handle) for this to be effective. When doing so, it slides into and easily locks in place as well as taken apart. 2) Stiff handle slide. Yes, when I received this and assemble for use, I found it was extremely stiff to slide and figured with some use, it will loosen. To accelerate this, I used a dry lube and it works like a charm before even taking it out. I also used the lube on the pins and end to facilitate easy assembly and disassembly. 3) Price. You get what you pay for. This fishing net is made of higher quality material and design compared to other fishing nets I have had or seen in sporting goods stores. Going to their Amazon website, Avlcoaky appears to specialize in fishing gear and is trying to make a name for itself. I could not find a company profile via a Google search as I would like to know more about the company and their products. Hmm? 4) Heavy. Better bring your muscles because if you land a fish worthy of this sized net, you are gonna need them! With sturdy material, comes weight. If you want a lighter net to weigh ratio, get a carbon fiber shaft and frame net. Good luck finding one for under $$$. So for, my only concerns are: 1. Replacing the net- why wouldn't they offer a replacement net to install over the frame? Heavy use, an accident, snag etc may damage the net. The frame is too nice to just pitch if the net needs replacement. 2. The zipper on the storage bag. Design should call for two opposing zippers so that the single zipper has less travel around the handle where it may be most likely to fail. Am I nitpicking? Maybe. But I have used and reviewed enough products to know where strengths and weaknesses lie. Nevertheless, 5 stars out of the box. I will update this review in the future pending any concerns after some heavy and light use.

First impression are that this huge net (truly, meant for big fish) is well made and should prove durable. The materials are of very high quality and finish. The pole was initially difficult to slide into place; after twisting the pole, it turns out there is a guiding ridge that can be twisted to lock the pole in place, quite convenient for storage. Twisting the pole get the ridges aligned properly for easy sliding. The pole locks into place with two buttons - these can be tricky to work in many situations, and these fall into that category: a bit of pain to work, but work well when in place. I do wonder after repeated exposure to saltwater, will these corrode and rust? Probably best to keeps these buttons maintained and periodically oiled. I had issue with the twist-lock for the pole extension - the twist locking mechanism seems to never properly lock/tighten into place. I can get it adequately tight, but I expected more precision at this price point. Provided are a few detail photos that I hope showcase above description, and a few photos of a basketball and rugby ball for scale. This net is gigantic. Also, with rubber mesh like this, I'd keep a few small zip-ties around for just-in-case repair. 4/5, I was disappointed in the twist-lock mechanism.

It's almost too big. It's so big you could put it in a rear rod holder and catch hats when they blow off your head! The handle is really sturdy too. A little hard to adjust...but I won't be adjusting too often. Mesh is rubber coated and hooks have come out easily. So far we love it....make sure you measure it though...no way you can store this anywhere but a rod holder!

I got this for my brother who catfishes and saltwater fishes in Florida. This is extremely nice as no one wants to get next to the water when it is pitch black and there is a fish who is most likely bleeding, flopping around in the water. This net allows him to quickly scoop the fish up and get it away from the water quickly, even if it weighs 10 or so pounds. I am sure it would handle bigger, just he hasn't caught one any bigger than 10 pounds yet.
