Still a very good brand choice, even after bought out by another company. Note: consider going with extra wide- I usually don’t, but needed to with the Avia brand. Sole design is good, but not a deep type traction pattern. Comfortable and lightweight. The arch support is better than most other brands I’ve found.

The front underside of my foot didn't feel lot of support when running but very flexible. I had to put my old insoles on top of new shoe insoles for support. I like is very lightweight & comfortable for running, bought it for this reason. Not bad of pricing & affordable. Fit my foot just right for 7.5 size.

I hate buying shoes online! I went through 4 pairs before I found this one which fit very well. I own a pair of Avia Forte in size 10, but the size 10 in Avia Forte 2.0 was too small. The pair I ended up with is a size 10 1/2, and it fits very well. So beware, based on my experience they seem to run about a half size smaller than other shoes I own.

I really hate this trend of making sneakers all foam, all mesh, all patent, all neon etc etc..... I was hoping this had a good balance between materials, price and durability. bottomline - definitely order a half size bigger. If you have a wider foot but not enough for an official W tag - then you may want to reconsider or go a full size. Avaia do run slightly smaller and narrower. - not bad: not all mesh top, has some pleather - vinyl ish type of cage accent to help support - the contouring is nice. It cradles the foot and supports the arch. I'll give them that. - a reviewer said something about rubber inserts glued to the soles. not exactly: I thought it was strange while walking on my hardwood floors, it was slippery. So as with all most of the junk nowadays the soles are largely that plasticy foam molding. front and back sides are lined with that weird fabric-ish material (who said fabric for soles that contact concrete or abrasive floors - awesome?!) and then you have some exposed parts of the "rubber" so you don't totally break your neck slipping on tile or wet floors. I'm torn about returning these because it seems unless I plan on buying overpriced Jordans or other fandom hype that isn't as lowkey as I want, but not creepy like the J - Dahmer New Balance editions, this cosmetically is nice.

Just like you can’t judge a book by its cover, no longer can you judge sneakers by name brand. Nowadays companies get bought and quality customers historically received gets sold out. Hard to believe that I haven’t even had these Avia sneakers for a year (purchased them a little more than 10 months ago)! And to see how they are disintegrating is disheartening. I’m tempted to throw them in the trash because they’re no longer wearable in public. At best I can only use them as … not really sure what I can use them as once my big toe starts sticking out?

The pictures say to go half a size bigger. I did. I'm glad I did. They're ever so slightly too big but I think if I went with half a size smaller (my correct size) they'd be too tight. I'd rather have a tiny bit of wiggle room than be cramped. I only tried them on to see if they fit. I haven't worn them around yet but they seem like nice quality so far. I'll update if they end up disintegrating off my feet of something crazy.
