    • The 3" binders are fine, but the 5" has issues
I have used plenty of the 3" binders, and they have been great. I ran into a class that had more than a normal amount of material, and I needed something bigger to hold the extra paper. The first binder came and the upper corner of the spine was crushed. I just got the replacement, and the rings do not open and close properly. The bottom two rings open with the bottom lever, but the top remains closed. When you try to close them, the bottom ring does not line up and you manually have to adjust it to fish it back together where it lines up. I compared the mechanism to the first damaged binder, and it does not have this issue. I tried using the dented one temporarily, but it's almost like the rings are spaced a millimeter too far apart. It is a struggle to make standard pages fit, yet they fit fine in all of my other binders from this company. They also don't move freely when trying to flip between sections. You have to baby a few pages at a time to move from one section to the next. For over $30, this is just dumb. Both are getting returned and I will look for a different company with better quality control. ... show more

I bought this binder for my daughter for 5th grade. I ordered a 5 inch binder for her, but the binder came as a 4.5 inch which didn't hold any of her stuff. The binder also didn't fit into her desk.
