I became a Beautyrest fanboy 20 years ago. I’ve owned a handful of them over the years. When my last Beautyrest started sagging I started looking into hybrid bed in a box type beds like Purple and Casper. I ultimately purchased a Dreamcloud, it was their top of the line mattress at the time and it was close to $2K when I purchased it. The Dreamcloud was a serious disappointment. It was sagging within a month. Based on the reviews, I’m not sure if I had a bad one or they’re overpriced junk. Regardless, it was a complete fail and I overspent on something that didn’t live up to the hype. After the Dreamcloud experience I swore I would never do the bed in a box thing again. Never say never. I recently found myself in a situation where I needed a bed and budget was important. I did a ton of researching, read a lot of reviews and decided to roll the dice on this mattress. I purchased the 12” Queen. As others have stated, the box is heavy. I was able to get it into the house and onto the bed myself but it is a heavy mattress and I would recommend having a helper. The mattress pops up fast once you open the plastic packaging. Mine was fully up within an hour but I let it decompress for 2 days before sleeping on it. The corners were fully up and everything was set after 2 days. This is a very comfortable mattress. This mattress is not as firm as I had hoped it would be initially but I’ve quickly realized it doesn’t have to be very firm. The mattress provides a lot of support. I don’t wake up stiff and I don’t toss and turn while I’m sleeping. I rest and I rest well. The edge support on this mattress is solid when it comes to the sides. The foot and head edge support are a bit disappointing but for the price of this mattress I am happily overlooking that issue. I like this mattress so much I just bought one for my mother and another for my son. This isn’t a Beautyrest but it’s a lot better than my overpriced Dreamcloud and it’s a fraction of the price. New to having it, so not a lot of sleep in it yet, but when took out of box, true heavy, need two people . NO smell at all but we let it sit out for 3 days as suggested. Firm yet soft, beautiful feel to fabric used, pilllow top and tiffed . Amazing for the price. Not sure if it will last the test of time but so far so good ... show more

Product arrived in good condition no holes in box box not smashed. If you are one person you may need help not light around 90 lbs If paper work supplied with item is a indicator of product quality I would rate this bed 10/10 very nice booklet with thick paper also nice plastic cutter to open bag. Edge support on sides nice I weigh 200 lbs and have plenty support If you expect to sit on end of bed you will be very very disappointed no support what so ever On long edge I sink 2 inches on end I sink 6 inches or more I purchased the 12inch mattress med firm it feels nice and soft but firm I sink in a little but nothing like a memory foam bed if you need a really firm bed look else where my last bed was a 10 had very little give I would rate this as a 7 or 8 Motion isolation 8/10 placed can of soda on bed and sat on bed soda can rocked a little but did not fall over I like the mattress top the button tuff only goes down about 1/4 inch and no button very comfortable Overall quality seem to be very good no rip or stains one side has 3 loose strings other then that I see nothing wrong. As to the warranty if you purchased with avenco you get a ten year warranty and a gift for registering, if purchased third party it says see retailer ... show more

Update: After 2 1/2 months, I'm still loving this mattress. My back and posture are improved and no pain. I also got a gel neck pillow for my neck. Sweet dreams. I researched mattresses thoroughly before buying this mattress. I even read all of the reviews. I was prepared to do this and do it correctly. First, the box arrived and for a King it is well over 100 lbs. I read it was about 85 lbs. but that obviously was for a smaller mattress. It took me over an hour just to get it through the front door. Then it was pretty easy to "walk" it along the laminate flooring into the bedroom. Second, I watched several videos of "bed in a box" type mattresses and they easily slide the box up and over the top. So, I tipped the box over, cut the bottom flaps, opened the flaps, and tipped it back up. The flaps were under the box still, so I ripped the box to shreds. Third, I leaned it on the bed frame and picked up the other end and got it on the bed. Fourth, I read the instructions, which weren't very detailed. But it clearly said on the protective film which way it would unroll and an arrow pointing in that direction. Fine, so I have to get the protective film off, and the only way was to roll the tube a little so I could get under it to unwrap it. I did, all the while, keeping an eye on that arrow. And then, POOF, it flipped out and inflated. Voila! it was perfectly laid out on the bed frame . . . except that it was upside down. I spent the next 2 hours trying to flip it over but without success. I finally called a neighbor, and he helped me get it back right-side up. Not sure where exactly I went wrong . . . but don't do that. I slept like a baby that night and have had great sleep since. I hope that continues because I love this mattress. It's not too soft, nor too firm for me. I'm a side sleeper with a tricky back so I need both but not too much of one or the other. Getting out of bed is easy with the edges being very supportive. It's one of the best mattresses I've had. ... show more
