I had a miserable time installing these mis-shaped headligts into my '05 RAM 1500. The LH (Left Hand, driver's side) light snapped into place easily, but it sticks out where the curved turn signal lens is located at the end adjacent to the front fender, so it is NOT FLUSH with the fender like the original, which was Made in Mexico. The RH light wouldn't snap into the plastic fitting at first, but after I finally beat it into place, it stuck out more than the LH light did - it was HORRIBLE, NOT FLUSH with the fender. BOTH LIGHTS AIMED DOWN AT THE STREET, only shining about 200 feet in front of my truck. Only the LH light would adjust high enough to make the headlight effective in lighting the road, but was not really sufficient (I upgraded to Sealight #9007 LED bulbs which would shine a LOT farther than the 200-500 ft that the light position would accommodate). The RH light WOULD NOT ADJUST HIGH ENOUGH TO LIGHT THE ROAD any further than about 250 ft! I am thoroughly DISGUSTED with the whole project, as I have experienced HUGE improvements in the 2 other headlight upgrades I did on a '97 Ford Club Wagon and a '14 Ford F-150 STX 4X4. According to Headlight Revolution videos on YouTube the '05 RAM Pickups had a very poor headlight design, and they are somewhat limited in capability to throw a good light pattern.

Both of my Headlight assemblies on my Dodge Ram 3500 were fogged and dim... I thought I would try these and the price point was good... I found them to be of good quality... They did not come with the bulbs, but they do come with bulb sockets... I replaced my old halogens with extra bright ones, and the result was very good... They are crystal clear and look great on my truck... One point, you may have to take out the old plastic sockets on the truck that snaps the headlight assemblies in because the new assemblies come with them already installed... I broke them out with a over sized flat bladed screwdriver.... Looks great!

I had upgraded my headlights a few years back. However the daylight driving light wasn’t bright and the bulbs required didn’t allow for high beams. So I had my eyes on these and waited for PRIME DAY, bought for under two hundred. The only issue so for is with the led lights bought separately. I am hoping this will get fix with my new order. The easiest way to upgrade a vehicle, change out the lights.

Not OEM quality but worth the money. I am posting a lot of pictures of my installation of the right side headlight to show you what I am talking about in this review.I would probably actually give this about 3 1/2 stars. For about a third of the price of OEM they are worth the money. If you’re handy and have a little patience and don’t mind doing very minor modification. Go ahead and buy these lamps. But if you expect them to fit and work like original appointment then do not. The only real modification I made was taking out the old Phillips head screws that hold in the headlamp holding ring and replace them with the torx screws that came with the original because as was stated in previous reviews the screws were stripped and I was ready for that because I had read reviews first before purchasing. The tools you will need would be a 10 mm socket with a 6 inch extension and ratchet. A Phillips, straight slot and torx screwdriver. There are three screws with 10 mm heads that need to be removed and a “dammit clip”! I call it a dammit Clip because that was the expletive I chose. When trying to figure out how to get the headlamp assembly out. You can use the street side screwdriver to loosen the clip and to pull the old clip out of the fender hole. See the pictures. Once you remove the assembly you have to remove the bulbs unplug the lamps. Remove the retainer ring from the headlamp bulb use the torx screws from the old Headlamp assembly and replace the Phillips screws that will most likely be stripped already when you get it. The torx screws From the original assembly are longer and hold better. If you push the headlamp bulb all the way into the lamp the retainer ring will be loose no matter how tight you make the torx screws. I’ve read another reviews were people have added an O ring to the headlamp bulb and fix this problem I may have to do this later but for now I just did not push the headlamp bulb all the way in to the assembly. I was just going to use the whole socket and bald from the old assembly for the turn signal because the socket was painted chrome and the new one was black. The socket would not fit in the new lamp apparently it is made differently then OEM. After putting the bulbs in the new assembly and putting the retainer ring back on I Put the lamp back on the truck with the three screws and dammit clip in reverse order. It was getting dark after I replace the right assembly So I will replace the left one tomorrow. Since it was dark I was able to adjust my headlamp it is very simple using a Phillips screwdriver her and loosening or tightening the two rods until it was aimed correctly. Please take a look at my pictures I think they will help you in your assembly or disassembly.
