Tires are not smooth and even with using some care while I apply the pad breaks down over time. 4 tires, about 3-4 applications till the pad becomes a mess and edges wear. Love these tire shine applicators. They are a bit narrower than my old one of the same type - which was nearly twice as wide - but that is not a hinderance. I have used other applicators like these. They are the easiest way to apply the tire shine. However, these fall apart before finished a single tire. The glue just does not hold up.

I guess they are OK but they are a lot smaller than the ones I have purchased in the past 5 years. I will use these up and go to the local auto parts store when I need more, and get the full size ones.
