There are two "important" magnets that they talk about but don't tell you anything about where they go or what they are for. Our magnets moved and now the door won't work. The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 11/14/22: No response from seller after two weeks. It worked great for a number of weeks, then stopped opening/closing automatically at dawn/dusk. It still works to open it with the push button so power is fine. Two stars for good mechanics but bad electronics and bad customer support. UPDATE 10/31/22: So the issue with it not opening all the way wasn't the battery, but instead it just need some lubrication along the track where the door slides up and down. Now though we're having an issue with it not opening/closing morning/night. We've been having to push the button to manually open/close it. We didn't change anything, it just stopped working correctly a couple days ago. Just docked a start for this. Time to check out the 12 month warranty. UPDATE 10/14/22: After it worked for about a month, the battery stopped holding enough charge to open it in the morning. We've been getting plenty of sun though. I have to gently "help" it open each morning (lift enough to take the weight off the door as it opens). I just wired it up so it will be plugged in full time so we'll see if that helps. I might also see if I can find a replacement battery. It looks like just an 18650 battery with a connector. We installed this about 10 days ago and it's been working great since then. We left it on the default (open/close with light) and it opens in the morning before the chickens are ready to come out and closes in the evenings after they're already in the coop. It's opened and closed every day without issue. I charged it up fully before installing. The instructions were pretty clear - the only thing they left out was where to install the little clear plastic spacers (I put them between the metal frame and the wood). I also gouged out a channel where the gear would lay against the wood. Maybe there would have enough clearance without it but I felt like it needed a little more room. Manual open/close works fine, too. I didn't try setting a timer or use the remote. Very happy! (and the chickens are too!) ... show more

    • Briliant Coop Door! Good Quality!
I installed it at the long weekend and checked the quality of it. It is almost the cheapest one with well-designed functions. Pretty easy to install. Only took about 15 minutes. During the past few days, it works well as it is supposed to do. I adjusted the light intensity setting several times for opening and closing it at different times. At last, I found that it shuts 30-40 minutes after dusk for '6' and opens about 30 mins before dawn for '14'. It was rainy last afternoon, the door closed automatically when the sky and clouds turned very dark around the dusk. All my chickens already got back to the coop. Surprisingly good sensor! I love the Light Control! The timer control is not bad, but I believe you will love the light control as well. I do not worry about the chickens being killed. It moves slowly enough that there is no risk of them not having time to get out of the way. Excellent product at this price. ... show more

Very easy to install and works as advertised. It has been installed for about a month now with no issues. The instructions are a little vague, but i figured out the programming relatively easily. Great product and would recommend.

We installed and have a problem setting to a timer. The door keep closing on us, so we switch to light and last night it worked for the first time. I’m happy so far, today will be the second day.

Update: The seller was responsive to the problem I was having with door. By turning off the value of the protection mode, so far, it has corrected the issue of the door not closing properly. I’m changing my rating from 2 stars to 3. They are supposed to send an upgraded door and I will post an update when I receive the new door. Constant oper. error and can’t figure out how to correct. Had to take protection level to zero in order for door to function. No auto stop if chicken blocking door so it will chop a head or leg off. ... show more

We purchased this automatic coop door early in the year2021.This door has been everything we needed and easy to installed. I installed it while my husband was at work with no issues. Great idea but this product FAILED after multiple attempts to reset it still malfunctions trapping chickens in coop. No response from vendor. No contact for vendor. No way to get warranty on product.
