These socks are phenomenal for the price. I've had them for two years now and while I don't wear them very often, they still work like new. As far as the functionality goes, the battery life is tremendous on low. Also. The battery doesn't seem to drain very much when not in use. When I first pull these out for the winter there has always been battery life after sitting for 8 months. The socks themselves are pretty thick and warm in their own right. There has been plenty of times where I didn't even need to turn them on. Because they are thick they are also quite comfortable. My wife has worn them around the house before on cold days and likes them a lot as well. The only cons I can see with these is that there is a little meter on the battery that shows whether it's in low, medium or high and that doesn't really work, you have to go by the intensity of the light. The battery also protrudes from the pouch in the top of the sock but I can never feel it... So neither are an issue for me and not worth docking even a fraction of a star. ... show more

Will work just fine to take off the edge, I currently use toe and foot warmers during my week in the woods hunting. Lots of waste and if not enough air flow, they don’t work. These stay warm till the batteries die. I’m having trouble getting a response from seller to order a second set of batteries. 5 stars for the socks. Batteries are small (about the size of your vehicle key fob). I tried the advice to wear the sock upside down (heel on top of your foot). This was a little uncomfortable, but kept the bottom of my foot toasty. Recommend you remove the socks before tracking and recovering an animal. Too hot and could damage the wires in the socks. ... show more

You may be wondering why I gave a 1 star overall review while giving 5 stars for comfort, battery life & ease of use. Although the socks appeared well made, as they were nice and thick, and the battery life and ease of use were also excellent, the socks didn't keep my feet warm at all. I purchased the socks in order to keep my feet warm with my shoes off as I work in my home office. Without my shoes, I felt no noticeable warmth. With my shoes on, the socks heated only the tops of my feet and to an uncomfortable level. Maybe the socks are not meant to be worn without shoes or boots and only when being active outside. Who knows. The other problem is the socks cannot be machine washed, only hand washed. Hope this helps. Blessing to you all. ... show more

These are great socks but they have a major drawback. The good: They do a great job of keeping your feet comfortable during really cold weather. Not too hot and you don't feel the cold. The battery also lasts for a pretty long time. THE BAD: I needed these for a camping trip in sub 30 degree weather. The socks can only be charged using a standard 110 volt electrical outlet. Not many of them available on camping or hunting trips. They should be recharged using a USB cable so you can use a cell phone charging block. If you could use a USB cable I would have given these 5 stars. ... show more
