This ended-up being to heavy for my style of camping, but it really held tightly to trees and could bear a lot of weight. The biggest problem for me were the metal spikes that go into the tree bark. They poked clean thru the bag I was using and gave me a good jab.

This strap is very well made. Thick and durable hooks will hold some heavy gear. Not sure what the max. load is for each hook but they are strong.
