Description

Audio-Technica ’s System 10 is a digital high-fidelity wireless system designed to provide performing musicians and presenters with advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 offers extremely easy operation and instantaneous channel selection. Up to eight channels may be used together without any frequency coordination problems or group selection issues. System 10 receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display. System 10 wireless ensures clear communications by providing three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies for interference- free communication. Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Finally, Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity. Featuring stackable, contemporary styling, System 10 is available in multiple system configurations, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and UniPak body-pack transmitters designed for use with Lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

I have four of these now. I started with two, and then ordered two more. I travel and use these in different locations. I've never had any interference, static, drop-outs, loss of signal ... just nothing except clean sound. I've been in auditoriums that would seat over 1,000 people and I can walk to the back of the room ... the back seats ... and still have a good signal. The frequency response and sound quality are also good. I've produced live recordings that are quite acceptable. The only thing ... the only thing ... the batteries don't last all that long - maybe 4 or 5 hours. I don't really know since I replace batteries before they run down. I don't need one quitting on me. It did once, but I'm not really sure exactly how long it lasted - maybe 4 hours total. The blinking light warns you the battery is low, but you don't have a lot of time left and you just don't want to stop on the stage and change batteries - which I have done - or change mics quickly while someone else changes the batteries. I keep a lot of AA batteries on hand. Even so, I give it 5 stars. ... show more

I like first of all the price. What you get for the price is quite amazing. It is a digital system so the audio quality is crystal clear, the mic is a no brainer to setup and the capsule is sleek and unique.     • Great outdoor range
I only used this once so far for an outside venue and walked out about 200 yards and still went strong. the power/standby button is a little sensitive so you just need to hold it towards the top. I will update as I use it more.

    • Great range, no dropouts or interference at all
I performed a fair amount of research before buying this mic. I'm a karaoke DJ and musician with 37 years experience around live music production. The radio portion of this mic is flawless. Great range, no dropouts or interference at all. The audio reproduction was decent but lacks some bass response. The on/ off/ mute switch is a terrible design made poorly. Although it is recessed at the end of the mic, my singers seem to find it and inadvertently mute themselves during their performance. I only takes a very slight touch to mute the mic. I've owned it for 8 months. Using it twice a week in this time, the mic is now unusable. It mutes by just by bumping the side of the mic and randomly shuts off during performances (with new batteries). The switch has basically failed. It is now hard to turn off as well. Alkaline battery life is fairly short as well, 5 hrs. I'm sending it back to Audio Technica for repair. UPDATE: AudioTechnica replaced the switch and it works fine now. This mic is perfect for my use as mainly an emcee or speakers mic. Have only used it one time and it performed flawlessly. Setup was a breeze. I already own another version of the System 10 with lav for digital video recording. It too is a stellar performer. I'm very pleased so far and will update if issues arise. ... show more

Good microphone after all one thing about battery life is they go fast in the microphone you better get back up batteries just in case the go low

    • Would be 5 but the switch...
Purchased this as an open box item. I like everything about the microphone except for the multi-function switch takes too long to turn on (around 2 seconds) compared to some older models which was instant. However, I do like the switch's ability to quickly mute by pressing it once it is on.
