The Attwood 9941B1 Cast Iron Mushroom Anchor is an economical solution for lightweight boats. The wide-area mushroom cup provides sufficient holding power in mud and weedy bottoms. This anchor is constructed of gray cast iron with a steel eye for tying off rope or connecting to a chain and features an aluminum-painted finish. Great for the price. Nice strong hold considering its 8lbs. I use it for my seahawk 4 inflatable raft. It has a trolling motor. I also tow a little bit smaller raft to take an extra person fishing and it held everything just fine on the river after a rain storm, the river was moving pretty quick. Bought two of these to use for our 16' aluminum fishing boat. They easily hold us in place in a light current with no problems. Originally I was thinking I needed a heavier anchor, but these two did the trick. We have another 8lb mushroom anchor but the lip is significantly smaller and it doesn't hold as well. ... show more

These begin to rust in a matter of days. I received these in May and they are completely rusted. They were never sitting in water either and were just used to tie down some inflatables around my pool.
