I ordered this Attwood Cooler Mounting Kit to add some security to my cooler/seat in the boat. It is four corner brackets for securing the cooler in one place to keep it secure and two bungees with hooks to keep it down when you hit some bumpy rides. Works well and mounts with #8 pan head stainless screws which are not included. This product is $14.99 delivered free with Amazon Prime. I set them under the cooler where I wanted it mounted and marked the holes with a pencil before drilling a pilot hole for the screws. I performs it's intended function and will keep the cooler secure. A little white marine silicone will hold them in place to drill if applied ahead of drilling or may allow you to mount them with minimal drilling and screws. ... show more

As advertised - seems comparable in quality to the brackets that I just removed after many years of use. Note that the screw holes are 2.5 inches apart at the center and the mounting holes form an inside angle of 110 degrees. If you draw a triangle with two sides of 2.5 inches and one side of 4.125 inches (4 1/8th) then you have a template that you can use to match up against your existing holes. The inner bracket has a turn radius of 1 inch but because of the long sides you could likely fit a cooler with a turn radius up to about 2.5 inches. I took a risk buying this because i didn't have these dimensions until it arrived - that's why I took a star off the review - these details matter and should have been published by the vendor. ... show more

    • Great solution for my cooler
This is perfect to secure a cooler to the floor of your boat. I used this in conjunction with an igloo marine cooler and it worked perfectly. Please note that these do not come with screws and you should purchase the proper stainless steel screws to mount them. Also they will collect dirt under them unless you figure out a way to seal them to the boat floor. Other than that they do exactly what they are supposed to. I installed them in maybe 20 minutes tops. Set down your cooler, place these underneath, slide the cooler to where you want it positioned, make sure the mounting brackets are tight against the cooler and mark. Pull up the cooler, drill your holes using the brackets as guidelines (make sure you have the proper drill bit for the size screw you are using,) put some marine grade silicone sealant in each ones of the holes and screw down. ... show more

    • Good cooler / box mount for inside the boat
Good cooler / box mount for inside the boat, but wished it had larger loops attached that other bungee cords could be used to cross over the cooler diagonally from corner to corner really locking it in place. Instead I bought (4) stainless steel 3" eye screws that will screw into the boat's wood flooring and the eye circle exposed above the mount and attach bungee cords to, put these thru the middle screw hole, works better now. Fairly inexpensive, works good, would recommend instead of constructing corner mounts by yourself from metal corner angles and wood, or other material. Also recommend using stainless steel screws to prevent corrosion issues. ... show more

Not amazingly sturdy but get the job done. They don’t fit the corners of our sized Coleman XL marine cooler, but it still holds it well enough.
