This cot feels like sleeping in a hammock. I sink into the middle. Fortunately there are no bars or anything under the center, but the fabric is taut under my weight, so it still feels solid and firm. The mattress is thin so provides very little cushioning. Since I sink into the middle, the most comfortable position is laying on my back, but I can lay in my side with a pillow. The head portion is slightly inclined, so it’s a very comfortable position to sleep on my back, but the cot is not very wide, so I lay with my arms above my head. This cot is very large, and doesn’t fold into a compact size, so it takes up a lot of space in my car, which impacts how much I can pack into my car overall for camping trips. This cot is bearable but an actual padded mattress is superior. I had hoped the mattress pad was more plush, but it is thin. ... show more
