Thor5 320x240 Thermal scope. Well I’m a 1st time thermal buyer. So after a month of research & studying.,I changed my mind about 5 times. I went with the Thor5 ., I received it the next day though Amazon and the scope supplier is just 2 hours from where I live & I liked that I could pay for it over 12 months & no interest charges. 1st off is how well it was packed. ( see picture). I added a picture of a Day shot ( the truck it is neutral temp been sitting all day I add the D for daytime . ) & a night shot ( electrical poll ) .. 1st time out of the box I took it in the wood & screen flashed over & over every 5 minutes. But had some good views in between. So slow down at that point. Read your manual, highlight important areas and then reread. After that I had a MUCH better understanding of the scope. I turned off everything that I didn’t need as a beginner and did my NUC manually. Now when I cut it on I let it focus on a solid object then it’s ready I zeroed it in after getting it on paper my 12”x12” target was small and it was shooting just high and over target. Once I hit the paper it was adjusted by the zero feature and then confirmed 2 shots dead on in the daylight. I used a cardboard box wrapped in aluminum foil and outlined the target area with white electrical tape. The white tape shows up great in the daylight. After a week of playing with I think there’s a bug are two to be worked out with new firmware but over all I’m very happy at this point. It’s cool and hope to get another maybe the 640 next time. I have had my ATN Thor 5 thermal scope for a month. Used it side by side my son's thermal scope (AGM) the clarity of the ATN shows more detail and I'm able to identify the target quicker. Therefore able to get the shot off faster when we hunt together.

Bought this primarily for varmints and protecting the family pets. Lots and lots of coyotes and this scope really brings them to "light". The one shot zeroing is pretty cool too. Lots of bells and whistles built in too. More then I'll ever need. 300 Blk sub-sonics, bye bye coyotes.
