We purchased this in January 2020 and it has worked great in the pond until just recently. It began working intermittently for a while and then not at all. We were very diligent about cleaning it out on a regular schedule. We saw on the listing that it has a 3 year warranty so we contacted Amazon about getting it fixed or replaced. They replied that we would have had to purchase their protection plan for them to replace it. We then reached out to Atlantic to see if they would honor the warranty. Not only were they prompt in their response (received a response email by 9:04 am after we sent a weekend email to them) but they quickly went through basic troubleshooting and then offered to replace the product. I purchased this pump to replace the Atlantic 3600 SH series pump I purchased in Feb 2019, which was beginnong to make noises like it was going to fail pretty darn quick. Both pumps advertised similar specs with the TT4000 looking like the it would pump slightly more volume. Plus the TT4000 had a 3 year warranty as opposed to the 2 year warranty on the old 3600. What's not to like? Imagine my disappointment when the new TT4000 pumped about half the advertised volume and about a 1/3 less than the failing 3600 does now. That's a direct real life, in situ comparison. I will attempt to return it since the specifications are not accurate. Will let you know that goes! Bottom line, don't waste your money on this one, folks. Or if you like it, maybe try a bigger version. ... show more

I've used this pump in my pond for three years straight, 24 hours a day and I've never had a single problem with it. A surprise winter storm in Texas this year resulted in my power going out for nearly a week. My pond froze over for the week and I feared I would need a new pump, so I ordered a new one. Wrong. When the power came back on, the pump started working again like it always has. So now I have a spare, just in case. I doubt I will need it soon. ... show more

I bought this to replace an older mag drive pump that finally failed. The older one was a low-wattage champ in its day but this Atlantic moves more water at lower wattage despite having a lower GPH rating on paper (I guess this handles by approximately 2 feet of head height better). Hurray for asynchronous (aka hy-drive) pumps! Let's hope it lasts a good long time. Will update if there are any issues. ... show more

This is my second Atlantic pump. The first lasted over ten years. I run it 24/7 for 9 months a year. Perfect pumping capacity for my water fall feature. Easy install. If this one lasts 10 years I will be very happy and purchase another one.

My waterfall builders told me to use a sump pump in my waterfall pond. I bought two, and they both moved too much water, too fast. And to make matters worse, the pumps made a racket as well. I got this pump for about three times the cost of those others, and I can't hear any noise from it at all. It moves an adequate amount of water to make a pleasant splash.
