I've been using these for over a year now and they have served me very well. You just have to understand their limitations- the main one being that you don't want to drop them on the floor. The other is that the max weight is 27.5 lbs. So yes, if you're very strong and you like going to failure, you might be a little disappointed. However, if you're an average person like me and just want to get in a decent home workout, these could be perfect for you. The adjustment mechanism is easy to use and the weight increments make a lot of sense. They start out with 2.5-lb increases with the lower weights and jump up to 5-lb increases at the higher end. You can do anything you would do with normal dumbbells- bench presses, shoulder presses, curls, triceps extensions, rows, flys, lunges, etc. The plates do move around a little bit, which can be scary at first. However, I've never had one fall out on me and over time you will develop trust in the equipment. I do feel like they aren't perfectly evenly weighted, meaning that you'll want the two red bar things aligned when you're doing your exercises. Maybe that's all in my head. In my mind those things are a small price to pay for the space and money you save with these. Here's my setup- I have a squat rack and associated bar/plates for heavy, going-to-failure type of workouts and then I have these in the corner for high-rep stuff or for when I'm not going to failure and don't feel like swapping out plates all the time. Yes, I know that's a weird, lazy thing to avoid when I'm trying to work out, but that's how the human mind works sometimes. These really make my home gym a lot more versatile and they take up almost no space. The price is very low to compare to other expensive one out there , but you just have to think about how much it would cost to buy all the dumbbells you would want. Then you might buy something like a 12.5-lb dumbbell not knowing if you'll ever actually use that one or not. Also, think about how much a monthly gym membership costs, plus the associated transportation. Not to mention the time wasted going back and forth to the gym. If you get these plus a good quality bench (don't go cheap on the bench), you're going to be able to stay in shape if you're motivated to do so.

These are great, very well designed and easy to use. I’m a runner and use them to cross train. Very easy to adjust and don’t take up much room. With these and a foldable bench I have a complete gym that only takes up a small space in the corner of my bedroom. Had to stop going to the gym due to Coronavirus and this setup works just as good. Great product, I would give it 10 stars. My wife is 69 and I’m 71, we have been lifting and running for 35 years so we know what works and what is junk.These adjustable dumb bells are well designed and very compact. The quality and price are more than I expected when I ordered them. Thank you for a really great product that actually works as described.

So Happy to have found these during quarantine. If you can grab them in stock I would recommend! Note the weight is 27lbs PER dumbbell! This confused me at first but the weight shown on the dumbbell is not lbs, but rather kg. To convert to Lbs basically double the number shown (ie, 2.5 kg is about 5lbs and so on... 12.5 kg is a little over 25lbs). Easy to adjust the weight and seem sturdy overall. Great space saver!!! The weight adjustments are plenty heavy for me to do basic lifting however I am only 5’2 110lbs and looking to tone up; if you are really into lifting heavy I would get the next level or two up. I ordered two dumbbells and both came well packaged. Shipping was about 1 week. I only gave 4 stars as one of the plastic base holders was cracked/damaged during transit however the seller was very responsive and is shipping out a replacement base when they can. Will update review if it comes.

This are super easy to use. I have the older bowflex (which goes up to 20lbs- which is fine for me since I am a senior) and with those you have to adjust both sides of the weights. No big deal but here you just need to do one. This helps me since I do online personaa training and the faster I change the weights the faster I get to the next exercise. These are well made and a super value for the money. They are in kilos so the weights won't be exactly the 5,10,15, etc pounds. Each kilo is 2.2 lbs so the 2.5 would be about 5 1/2lbs, etc. This is not a drawback just wanted to give a heads up

I'm a mid-30s woman doing BBG resistance workouts at home currently, and this dumbbell set has been fantastic.! A particular plus for me is that the weights are labeled in kg (not lb), which coincides with my workout manual perfectly. The weights are easily interchangeable, with the only caveat being that the weights have to be set down in the holders to change the weight. It's a minor inconvenience when you need to change to a different weight in a pinch, but it's no deal breaker for me. The dumbbells are sturdy. There is minor clacking of the weights during usage, as each weight plate will have a small spacing in between. This still trumps me having had to buy several different dumbbells in various weights. Very happy with this purchase!

I received my order about a week ago and found one of the two weights I ordered, a bottom weight holding tray (plastic) was partially broken. Since the weights were not damaged, instead of contacting Amazon to send the whole unit back for replacement, I contacted the vendor directly to see if they were willing to send the replacement bottom tray. I thought that was a win-win situation. The vendor responded promptly and I just received the replacement tray yesterday via DHL express service (from China). I haven't really used the weights yet, LOL. But these are actually 2nd sets of these weights I ordered. I bought a set in last summer for my son and I really liked how it felt. They feel very comfortable to hold and the weight distribution is awesome. I have to say it's a bit pricey but I think it's the value if they lasts. Only time will tell. The locking mechanism seem to work well and hopefully they will not wear out to be dangerous. But so far so good.

Glad I put this item in my amazon cart... so that I was alerted to price changes. Was able to snag one of these for $71 which I think is a great deal. Easy to use, right out of box. Switching to different weights is straightforward and easy to do between sets of exercises. Great weight increments: 5.5lbs,11 lbs, 16.5lbs, 22lbs, 27.5lbs) I may not use the higher settings much, but it's worth it for the 16.5lbs and 22lbs,. Before I was trying to hold two small dumbbells at same time, to get to 16 or 22lbs... and always afraid of dropping one. Great design feature in my opinion is the ends of the dumbbell -- which are like big round hockey pucks. You feel secure holding the dumbbell crossways, with both hands.... you've got a good grip. Also, I actually cautiously swung this dumbbell like a kettle bell, while holding it in middle (NOT by the weight stack itself). And I did NOT swing it hard, or high, or at highest weight setting. Seemed ok with that movement.

My bad, I didn't read the "single" weight part. But I get it, these are in high demand now, might as well milk it. Really convenient design, make no mistake, I would hate to deal with an entire weight rack. But beware, and this is the 3-star part that knocks the total rating down from 5: the notches are labeled BACKWARDS. If this is in any other reviews, that was my fault too, I tend to not read. If you want the lowest weight, you set the peg to the notch between 10 and 12.5, and so on and so forth. Only took me a minute to catch on. ***EDIT: I pulled the sticker and turned it around; got really sick of the upside down/backwards label. My other gripe, but not an issue - there is really no space between the outside rests of the bar and the weight panels, they clank loudly if you can't set them back down just right. I just got these so there isn't much more to complain or sing praises about. But bought this for PT for my arm, so it's definitely nice that it's compact and adjustable for future use when my arm gets stronger. Will probably buy another later on.
