  • Great value!
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
This is the scope that I have now purchased twice. One for a clone mark 12 and one for an SPR. The first one I purchased was a couple years ago and found it to be very durable, precise, and very good quality for the money. It was very hard for me to find anything in the 2 to 10 or 2 to 12 range where I wasn’t paying well over $1000 for, between the scope rings and the scope my budget was for around $700 and from my experience with my mark 12 build and this Athlon scope I was so happy with it I decided to purchase a second. The glass is clear the radical is precise and I prefer the first focal plane Scopes over second focal plane for the money. I just don’t think you can buy a better scope. The turrets are crisp, line up perfectly, and work as intended. I have many other Optics that I use from trijicon to Vortx to even Burris. I even have a Leopold on one of my rifles. I understand quality in Optics and also in glass. I’m no Stranger to it. ... show more

  • Punches up!
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
I own several low, mid and high end scopes. Some vortex Diamondback, viper and razors. An Athlon ARES ETR, ARES BTR, one night force ATACR among others. It has the best reticle of any scope I own, very functional. The parallax knob is the easiest and smoothest to turn of all of them. Zoom range is perfect for engaging out to 500 meters maybe further for better shooters. I put this on a Christensen CA15 and I’d like to buy another for one of my hunting rifles. The turrets have solid clicks, fairly close to the feel of the ATACR and ARES ETR. Not quite as audible but very good feedback with no slop. If I’m nitpicking there is a little slop in the turret cap. Glass is clear, not on the level of the Ares or ATACR and that should be expected for a scope that cost 1/3 or 1/4 off the cost. I can make out impacts in shoot and see targets out to 200+ meters, nearly 300 on clear days. For this price the scope can’t be beat. Superior to every other scope I own in this price range and some of the features in higher priced ones I own too. The center dot on the MIL version is the way to go! ... show more

  • Good budget SPR/DMR scope
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
Overall happy with this. There are not a lot of options in the 2-12 category, so there isn't a lot of competition. Glass quality is typical of Chinese glass. Chinese glass can be pretty decent these days, but it's still not on par with Japanese or Euro glass. If you've never looked through real premium glass, you'll probably love this. It's quite usable, good even, just not the best out there. This *is* a serious scope, unlike the cheaper no-name "amazon specials". Eye box at 2-4x is excellent at 2-4x, acceptable in the mid ranges, but I do find that it gets tight at 11-12x. This shouldnt be a huge problem, as you are probably shooting off stable position when at max magnification. Since this is a budget to mid-range scope, you should consider options like 2.5-10x, 4-12x, etc. Because those have lower multipliers the glass doesn't have to do as much work, and you may get a better image and eye box for similar money. If you are running an offset red dot alongside this, you may find you simply don't need the 2x. While the 2x *can* do short range work, it simply is not the same as having a true 1x. For that, you need either an offset/piggyback red dot, or an LPVO. Would be nice to see a couple less ounces, but this would probably require lots of expensive materials like titanium. Weight is OK, but you will notice it on there. ... show more

  • Accurrate, reliable, amazing optic !
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
This mpvo is precisely what i was looking for! 2-12, ar15 capatibility, easy to look through and just track, at times , you feel ultra relaxed, this optic gives you that feeling, "im in good hands, but so are you!" Is it japanese glass, no but it is damned good, and for the price, the performance, tracking, accurracy, but above all , positive I.D., it will definently do its part! I highly reccommend! 10/10 stars ... show more

  • 2Arms, 2Arms....
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
Okay to this very date (September 2023) this optic has been a true game changer on my item. I put it on myself with the proper tools, took it to the range & was Zeroed in with just 3 rounds @ 50 yards. Is it top notch...? No. Is it of very good quality...? Yes. Do I need the very best for my usage...? No. (I'm shooting a paper target!). If you're in the market for a really good optics & are not shooting @ 1K yards then this is a great option & product. If you're into competition you can actually benefit from this rifle scope, or you can go ahead & spend 5x the cost. I'm not a pro, nor do I pretend to be, but bottom line this scope is Niccccccce. The turrets lock in place perfectly, the illuminated radical is a total plus, & the glass is as clear as day. Why spend 3K when you can do the same thing for less & still have a great product. ... show more

  • Great AR Scope
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
Scope works great for close and longer range applications. Glass is top notch especially for this price range. Reticle is clear and concise, can be a little large for paper punching at max magnification. Overall a banger of a scope for this price.

Great scope. Quickly became a favorite scope. Great glass ( have Japanese and Shott glass in other scopes) and this is nearly equal. Can see hits clearly at 100 yrs and tracks accurately. Illumination is good too.
