  • Punches up!
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
I own several low, mid and high end scopes. Some vortex Diamondback, viper and razors. An Athlon ARES ETR, ARES BTR, one night force ATACR among others. It has the best reticle of any scope I own, very functional. The parallax knob is the easiest and smoothest to turn of all of them. Zoom range is perfect for engaging out to 500 meters maybe further for better shooters. I put this on a Christensen CA15 and I’d like to buy another for one of my hunting rifles. The turrets have solid clicks, fairly close to the feel of the ATACR and ARES ETR. Not quite as audible but very good feedback with no slop. If I’m nitpicking there is a little slop in the turret cap. Glass is clear, not on the level of the Ares or ATACR and that should be expected for a scope that cost 1/3 or 1/4 off the cost. I can make out impacts in shoot and see targets out to 200+ meters, nearly 300 on clear days. For this price the scope can’t be beat. Superior to every other scope I own in this price range and some of the features in higher priced ones I own too. The center dot on the MIL version is the way to go! ... show more

  • Great scope perfect for close out to 7-800 yards
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
Nice click turrets smooth and easy to turn parallax, on and off between light levels, reticle Is a bit thicker than should be but usable . Best pic for ar10 that I could find

  • Glass snobs won’t be satisfied
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
If you’re used to high end glass, this scope will leave you wanting more. If you’re budget minded it may be for you. On 2x I got some weird fringing on edges of glass with some visibility of internal body of scope and some more chromatic aberration than I’d like to see. 6x zoom ratio may be too much for the quality of glass used on this optic. If you gotta have it then buy it. If you can spend a little bit more, I’d look into the Vortex PST 2-10. A touch less zoom on the top end but you are rewarded with a much more pleasing experience behind the optic. The PST also has better edge to edge clarity with minimal shadowing around the edges with little to no chromatic aberration. However, the build of the Athlon optic and turret mechanism felt solid and I trust athlon can put together a quality scope as I have one from their Cronus BTR line and it’s amazing. Turrets have SOME wobble when unlocked but it’s to be expected with locking turrets and seems to be turret cap itself not the inner turret mechanism. It is a decent scope scope overall but if your eyes have been spoiled by good glass you may want to spend the extra cash on something else like the Vortex PST or Athlon Ares 2.5-15 ... show more

  • Great little scope
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
I put this scope on my Steyr Scout.223 abd I love combination. I used Zeiss Conquest V4 before that and its very good scope but I this Athlon fit for me little bit better. I like parallax at 10 yards because sometimes I like to shoot some very small targets at close range. And of course size is perfect for Scout Trucking was good and Im ready to buy one for 10/22 ... show more

  • Awesome fro both speed and precision
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
Mounted today end went out and shot. Rifle was a .223 Savage 10 PRC. Was easy and fast to sight in. At first I thought the reticle would be too small at 2x, but i was wrong. Heck with the illumination on speed shooting was like using a red dot. If i had more time, I could use any magnification with ease. Turned up to 12x I was pinging gallon jug out to 600yds. Making wind calls was easy and the elevation dial was solid to allow precise dialing without looking. The zero stop allowed me to crank it right back to my 100yd zero without looking as well. This is my fourth Athlon optic (all FFP models) and it seems that they all just plain work! ... show more

  • Old used item
Style: AHMR2 IR MIL
Imagine my disappointment when it was instantly obvious that I was shipped a used or possibly a display model. I have scope boxes almost 15 years old that still look new, this one is rough. Corresponding scratches top & bottom of tube from being mounted. No cr2032 battery in the box. This has been finger banged previously, that creates doubt in this particular scope, who knows how it's been treated. I buy anything new, I should be the first to finger bang it, that's what I played for. If it had been advertised as used/ display, that would be different. It's sold as "new", I will be either returning for an actual new one, or looking to receive a partial refund. Camera on my kindle isn't good enough to focus in on the tube scratches. I can with my iphone, but am having trouble trying to get to transfer. ... show more

  • Very clear and very accurate adjustments.
Style: AHMR2 IR MOA
Clear visuals even at longer ranges. The crosshairs could be a bit thinner for longer distance shooting
