    • A fantastic big bore kit to wake up your Zuma 50!
I purchased this kit for my 2005 Zuma 50 after the previous owner managed to melt the piston rings on the original motor in 1080 miles. Installation took a very reasonable amount of time, and because it's a 2-stroke, there's not much that one can mess up. The instructions are a bit dense for someone with no mechanical skill, but a quick search online of forums or YouTube makes installation a breeze. A couple notes: When you install the new top end, torque everything to spec, take a short ride, and check it. Also, break in with rides, not idling on the stand (remember its air cooled), making sure to vary the throttle. After a tank or two, you should be good to go! I've put 600 miles on mine since doing the swap a month ago, and it runs as well as stock Zumas. For reference, I have a 17.5mm Dellorto Carb with autochoke (running needle positions/jetting exactly as I pulled it out of the box from Team Calamari), a Leo Vince ZX exhaust, and the rollers/springs that were included with the ZX exhaust. I've gotten a GPS confirmed 50 MPH out of it with great acceleration, holding 35 MPH up some of the steeper hills in the Seattle area. I highly recommend this kit, but make sure that you retune your carb (or invest in a larger one) to prevent a lean condition that could cause premature wear. **Update** I've put over 1500 miles on this cylinder kit (longer than the original Yamaha) with zero issues. Great upgrade for moped, it will get your speedometer to break because it will make it go so fast. I had a yamaha zuma '01 and this increaed my top end from 37 to 46. Acceleration was increased tremendously. Pull back on the throttle and it gets so much more HP it will pop a wheelie if your not careful. Ive put on around 3,000 miles with this kit, and its running better than the original engine. Would recommend, however dont do what i did and dismantle your engine because you think you know what your doing. Had to watch alot of youtube to get this sucker bsck together. All in all, great addition and upgrade if your somewhat mechanicaly inclined. Best kit for the price. ... show more

The casting at the bottom of the cylinder was so thin it rolled back and folded over. Casting pieces in the crankcase mean I now have a full teardown rather than just a top end job. Poor quality, pot metal cylinder.

10 more MPH and worth every cent. Easy to install and super stoked on the extra power. Don't forget new 90 jets, Athena Scooter Roller Kit 15mm D x 12mm L 5.6 Gram rollers and remember only swap out every other roller, 3 old, 3 new. Also, adjust your air fuel and idle screws. Finally I pulled the internal snorkel out of my breather box for 91 octane and my set up works great. Best bang for your buck to increase speed, torque and fun! ... show more

Kit was direct fit bolt on, high quality and has performed as expected. Would have been nice to have wrist pin bearings included. The reeds did not fit a 2004 Yamaha Vespa 2T 50cc reed block but probably work on other models.

    • Huge increase in torque off the line 0-20 is fast and burries the speedo and then some
Did not like it has a new rist pin but does not have a new roller bearing have to use old one

nice kit put about a 1000 miles on it sofar alot more power have to watch top speed now, installed with 90 main jet with stock carb, needle 1 clip position richer, 2002 yamaha zuma runs great
