  • Great product, worth every penny.
Style: Rear Sight Tool
Very pleased. For the folks complaining about no instructions. I’m not sure why they can’t look it up on Google or watch a video on YT. The product works great, it’s very sturdy. The only catch I ran into was the plastic inserts were a bit oversized so you gotta kinda work them into the grooves and that shaves away the excess plastic. I used a small punch set armorer hammer to gently tap them into place. Once that was done, they are a perfect fit now and can be easily exchanged between the different insert sets. ... show more

  • Excellent value - a must have for installing Trijicon HD rear site on Glock slide
Style: Rear Sight Tool
Very well made, and the carrying/storage case was an extra plus. At $44+ - felt like I got my monies worth. Recently purchased Trijicon HD night sites and read the reviews on the difficulty of installing the rear site. Since I do all of my own gun work (by no means an expert either) I decided to give this product a try, rather than chancing damaging the tritium-phosphur site tubes using the good old punch method or taking to a gunsmith to install. Already had removed the Glock OEM plastic rear site easily using a plastic punch without damage. The Trijicon (metal) rear site fit VERY TIGHT. Even after several passes of the bottom of the site over 1200 grit sandpaper to remove any high spots, the fit was perfect but tight. Very high quality Trijicon fit and finish. Using the NcStar tool, the slide was cinched down on all four surfaces. Advise using vinyl electrical tap on the side clamp surfaces, the surface of the moving slide of the tool that makes contact with the site, and on the top side of the pistol slide itself to avoid making any potential marks or scratches on the slide during the installation process. A drop of oil in the site channel (wipped across with my finger) also helpful. Take your time and check all settings before wenching the movable tool slide! The NcStar tool worked like a champ! The Trijicon rear site was so tight. I proceeded by holding the NcStar tool secured in a vise, and used a 15mm socket (with ratchet). NcStar was thoughtful in offering this alternative method to turn the movable slide, rather than the provided turning handle. Made installing easy - went on without a glitch. Centered the rear site as needed. No damage to the site or slide. Highly recommend this product over costly site tools costing 2-3 times the price, taking to your gunsmith, or using the "punch" method. ... show more

  • Worked very well!
Style: Rear Sight Tool
Easy to use. Make sure you grease all threads. Replaced sight on CZ P 10C. Tried to use plastic punch and hammer couldn’t move it! Used pusher tool came out real easy. Put new sight in without any problems. Recommend you watch YouTube video “ How to “.

  • Great value for the money but performance varies with the shape of your Slide (Review for PX4 SC)
Style: Rear Sight Tool
My goal was to install Ameriglo tritium sights and it was a real torture test. First off, your sights go on in one direction and come off in one direction. After watching a few YT videos on this procedure (nothing specific to the PX4 subcompact), I came to realize that I had to figure out which direction I needed to move the sights. I determined that right is on and left is off and then it was a matter of figuring out how to make the pusher tool work with the model F variant of the PX4 SC - this is the one with the slide safety switches (one on each side of the rear of the slide. I wound up wedging one piece of 1/8" thick nylon fabric above each switch between the stabilizers on the left and right sides. This seemed to work well enough but the pusher tool could not push the sight out (or I was too afraid to keep twisting the shaft). I ended up using a full sized hammer with the edge of the 2" x 1" x 1/4" solid plastic spacer to start the sights (both front and rear). Once they were about 25% off the dovetail channel, I was able to easily push them out with the tool. The rear sight was much easier to move than the front sight and (full disclosure) I had to hammer the front tritium sight all of the way in to the slide. It was a real torture test for my slide and a real psyche test for me. The whole transplant procedure took me about 2 hours because of the care and time I took to figure out how to approach this because this was my very first time. I have no plans to ever attempt this again because I think it is too easy to destroy your sights and damage your slide. Thank God Beretta craftsmanship is way above par. If I have have the desire to upgrade my sights in the future, I will seek out a gunsmith, hands down. I do not personally believe this is a job for anyone who does not have a very high skillset, troubleshooting skills and collection of appropriate tools (you all know who you are). Review of the Pusher Tool: I am grateful for the availability of this tool but I do have a few CONs... *The side with the crank will not clear the stabilizer unless you remove the pin from it. I used an allen key of similar size so I could twist the crank freely while operating the pusher. *The "table/dial" that the slide rest on telescopes up and down as you turn it left or right - this is a great feature but it wobbles. It would have been great if it were more stable so as to ensure that the slide is level with the pusher as it sweeps across the top of slide. If the angle of the push motion is not level with the sight/dovetail channel, it can create a moment (structurally speaking) and break the sight, the pusher block or even warp the slide (if that is even possible???) For the price though, I was able to make it work well enough. * I think it is safe to say that this tool was not designed for a slide with a slide safety, let alone two of them. I would not recommend this for a pistol with one (like the Beretta PX4 model F or G). ... show more
