We've had these phones for only about 1.5 weeks and so far we are very pleased with them. These replaced our old phones which were a different brand but got to the point that the battery wasn't charging. We like the large display on the phone to check caller ID or the number we're dialing. We're in our mid 50's (me) to early 60's (hubby), so having the larger display is great. I like that the message indicator, play, and delete buttons are easy to see and use. Though I wasn't sure we would like having another unit where the phone stands up like this (like the last one), this model seems more stable that our last set. For the price, you couldn't ask for anything better. We're moving soon and our new house is a bit more spread out than this one, so we'll be adding more handsets so we're not having to run to the phone. Though it does seem that most of the calls we receive on the house phone these days are from annoying telemarketers, so maybe we should save money and not buy additional handsets. lol Overall, this has been a great phone system so far and I highly recommend it. Edit: 11/9/17: we’ve been using this phone system for about 5 months. The only issue we’ve discovered is the volume when using speakerphone. It’s terrible. We can hardly hear the person we’re talking to. So now that’s a major negative. ... show more

Debated between this phone and a more expensive but similar Panasonic to replace the old 2.4 gHz Panasonic we have liked and used for over 7 yrs. Despite the old Panasonic being a high quality cordless phone at the time, with "voice enhancer" and a digital answering machine, I found our old phone to be too quiet and the "digital" answering machine was usually too garbled for me to understand without my hearing aids (hearing problem "HP" developing over the years) . The AT&T phone is like a miracle in voice clarity both on the handsets themselves and for the comparatively crystal clear answering machine. We think the ring is more than lound enough and we have ours turned down to an intermediate value. For callers, even with my HP, I have the volume turned down on my unit to either 3 or 4 bars depending on the caller....all the way up is PLENTY loud and clear even with my "bad" ear. The batteries are also amazing compared to our old phone where wife had to swap out phones on typical LONG calls with our distant children; this phone barely challenges the battery even on similar calls. Phone was easy to program and adding 35 numbers to the phone book on Handset 1 took about 25 min. and it automatically synced with the phone book on the other two handsets. So far we haven't found anything we don't like about the phone and I will revise review if something unexpected shows up. BEST of ALL, and most important to this review, wife loves the new phones and how they look and operate...................... and that is a huge recommendation. TIP: If you have a severe hearing problem and think you may need a very loud ring, buy the units with multiple or extra handsets and put one close to where you sit or sleep. We don't have to do this (yet) and think the ring is plenty loud. ... show more

Update: Due to my initial issues with this phone (three that have been found so far), I contacted AT&T for support. They said they would send me a replacement phone BUT THEY NO LONGER HAVE THIS PHONE MODEL BUT THEY CAN SEND ME THE BL102-3 instead as the replacement. Using today's Amazon prices, the replacement phone cost ~$20 less... returning it to Amazon seems to be the best option. Original post: I received this yesterday and I fully charged the batteries with the supplied chargers yesterday. Today the batteries are fully discharged in all 3 handsets! The info in this ad says "6 day standby". I assumed that meant the handsets could be off thr charger bases for 6 days AND not less than 24 hours! This makes this phone useless to us. I'm certainly not buying new rechargeable batteries for this. ... show more

I bought these for my mom's house because the old Panasonic set that she had had seen better days. They were about 10 yrs old & she has a hard time reading or seeing anything on a screen and the screen on them had gotten dark &"frosty" looking from years of usage & carrying them in her pockets, jackets & places like that. I looked at the reviews of several types of phones and these got the best rating. I now understand why!! I also saw these hooked up at my local Walmart & was very surprised at the size & clarity of the screen. Mom is 88 and she is very very happy at how clear the sound is, how clear the screen is & the illuminated numbers are a BIG PLUS for her. The base phone is very simple & well lit for her usage plus the screen is set at an angle and is a LOT EASIER for her to see who is calling. All in All these AT&T phones are a whole lot better that her older set. I would definitely recommend these to family & friends. I also bought a "2 Pack" Accessory Handset so that she could have them at all the places that she sits or works at. They are equally as good as the 3 that are with the base set and pairing them was east too!!! ... show more
