Have good experience with another Vivobook for the last couple of years so I got this one for my son. The screen doesn't dim when unplugged and running on battery (unlike HP). Start up is fast thanks to the SSD. It should last as long as his previous Acer laptop (13 years), judging from my old Asus tablet. ... show more

  • *Updated Review!*
Capacity: 12GB RAM | 512GB SSD
Just bought it. Excited. Haven't bought a laptop in years. Delivery is scheduled for 2 days from now and we will see if it will be on time. Laptop stand is in the final decision stage. Will do an updated review soon! Let's see how PCOnline does! UPDATE: Stop! Don't order anything yet! Ok, laptop came a day early, but I wasn't going to turn it on and play with it until my laptop stand arrived. (I'm a big believer that a laptop stand that helps laptop vents is a must.) I did took it out the box for a few minutes just to examine if there was any visual damages. No damages, but it went back in the box. Next day ny buddy sends me a link for an ASUS Vivobook with same screen size, but way more RAM, storage, and more cores! And it was 17.3". And it was at a local store. Almost forgot,.....it was $70 cheaper. I then started a refund. Took it to UPS that same day and I had to pay $7 for shipping which is taking 5 business days but you know UPS isn't going to slow down on the weekends which truthfully is going to take 7 days to get to PCOnline. Then they say I will get the refund within 2 days. I wonder when in that time frame PColine will refund. And I shipped it better than PCOnline.....I actually added bubble packs from Amazon deliveries so the box wouldn't move around inside the bigger box it came in. So gripping about the package handler services taking a week to get to seller. But my main gripe is what did I pay $7 for? I coulda sent it to a family member in that town and bring it to them faster......but honestly, what happens if UPS losses the laptop? That question bring me to my final thought about when should I get my refund?.....I think as soon as UPS takes over.....in fact they should inspect and there should be some kind of agreement on paper stating condition. Now I almost have a fear that there will be some kind of issue just from the response I've gotten from PCOnline...... Stay tuned for second update on this review! ... show more
