  • Solid, Strong, Well Designed, & Infinitely Portable Windows 10 X64 Platform
A PRELIMINARY, EARLY REVIEW - I've only had this ASUS VivoBook Flip ("VBF") 12 (11.6" diagonal screen) for 2 months now, but so far, I am VERY pleased with every aspect of its operability and its expandability. … It IS a nearly perfect upgrade/replacement for my ASUS Transformer Book T100TAF 10 inch 2-in-1 (w/ 1 GB RAM and 32 GB on-board SSD storage) which came acropper (and had to be COMPLETELY "reset") when trying to "choke down" the Windows 10 v. 1903 O/S upgrade. My new ASUS VBF 12 IS "head-and-shoulders" above (and beyond) the capabilities AND capacities of my 4-plus years old Transformer Book 10. ... My VBF 12 came with an Intel Pentium N4200, "duo-core" processor which (with 64-bit processing) is MUCH FASTER than the T100TAF's Intel Atom quad-core CPU (constrained by a 32-bit "architecture"). - The ASUS VBF 12 (model no. TP202NA-OS21T) has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of "on-board" SSD storage. > It is EASILY expandable with a micro SDXC "slot" which (according to ASUS customer service, and "as tested" by myself) WILL TAKE a (class 10) micro SDXC card "up to" 128 GB: I HAVE NOT TRIED any higher capacity SDXC cards, BUT if my experience with my T100TAF is ANY "guide", I would not be surprised if the VBF 12 micro SD card slot will "handle" a 256 GB card just fine. (EXAMPLE: ASUS always said/stated that my Transformer Book's micro SDHC slot was limited to a 32 GB card; I have, since, proven that it will "handle" a LOADED 64 GB micro SDHC card and even recognizes (and proves operable with) a 128 GB (FAT 32 formatted) card as well. - You never know until you try.) At this point, my ONLY MISGIVING is that I didn't get the VivoBook Flip 12 that works with an "active", Bluetooth digital "pen": Model no. TP203NA. ... Now, admittedly, I have not tried ALL active pen options that are available in the "retail" world, BUT I do know that ASUS says (on their website) that their own "active" pens WILL NOT work on this particular TP202NA notebook computer; ONLY on the TP203NA models. - I even went as far as buying a Wacom - Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus (for Windows Ink) 2nd Generation pen and was never able to get it to "pair" with this VBF 12 TP202NA. ... However, since I already have a "complete" set of "capacitive" styluses, I CAN still use the Windows Ink "Whiteboard" program (even if I can't do some of the cool text manipulation tricks that an "active" pen would allow, oh well). Anyway, there ARE plenty of other Windows compatible APPS that will perform the "artsy fartsy" tasks and "tricks" equally as well. MY MOST HELPFUL HINT: ... If you buy ANY of the VivoBook Flip computers in 2020 (or later), keep in mind that they are, originally, 2018 models: UPDATE EVERY PRE-LOADED PIECE OF SOFTWARE/"FIRMWARE" FIRST ==> ASUS bios items, Intel drivers and systems SW modules, Windows 10 O/S, etc. - THEN perform ALL necessary Windows disk and systems files "clean up" operations, AND don't forget to "optimize" (formerly called "defragment") your on-board storage, BEFORE doing ANY of your own set-up, SW installation, and document/media loading, etc. - This WILL keep your VivoBook running in a neater, faster and more responsive manner for long into the future! ... AND, ... Get yourself a really good (for ALL of YOUR needs/desires) Bluetooth mouse - SO MUCH EASIER THAN USING THE TINY TOUCH PAD! P.S. I do have one "necessary" accessory "on order" currently: ... A 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080, IPS Screen, USB-C, AND HDMI ( - absolutely critical for hooking up ALL of my portable devices!) PORTABLE MONITOR for Laptop, Phone, Mini PC (etc.) with Smart Cover - Upgrade Version ... WHAT AN AWESOME MOBILE COMPUTING RIG I WILL HAVE FOR YEARS TO COME! - {:o) {;-) {:-) !!!!! ... And YES, thankfully, I already have a good collection of cases, sleeves and messenger bags to put these "goodies" in when travelling. ... show more

  • Not bad, very light weight.
Touch screen is a little inconsistent, but overall works well enough.

  • Did not work correctly. Kept Rebooting.
I am a computer professional. I bought this computer to just run a dual screen for salesforce. I've designed computers for the government, contractors and financial institutions. This PC should have done the job but fell short.

  • Serious Flaw
This review is for the new 2020 version of this laptop. I will compare it to the old version which I also have. The old version has a major problem. When you use it in tablet mode, you cannot see the screen well. It disappears when you look at it from the sides or any angle other than laptop mode. This was fixed in the new model. It works very well now. The keyboards are very nice. Good key travel but if you type fast it skips a letter every now and then. In both the touch screen works real nice. The mouse pad on both works great. They are both fast when doing tasks but remember that they only have 4 GB of RAM. If you open too many things they lock up. Now for the big problem. The old model can be run all day watching videos and it stays very cool. It helps to prop it up a little to let air underneath if doing this. The new model has a serious over heating problem. If you run it for 30 minutes watching a video it gets so hot you can burn yourself. Note that it is running as intended. Even though overall the new model is better I had to return it. I didn't want 3rd degree burns. Sad too because the new model had a USB c port and the older model didn't. So in the end even though ASUS did Everything right on the newer model I CANNOT Recommend this laptop because you can't run it very long without risking being burned. ... show more

  • Computer keeps going black on screen
I like the size but the computer will just cut off and I had to get support because my mouse stopped working

Easy to use, set up and customize for 12 year old. She loves the quality, interaction with touch screen, speed and efficiency. Worth the cost!

  • Poor quality
You get what you pay for! While the price is on the cheaper side the quality is very poor. We've had this computer for barely 2 months and it already broke down multiple times. Keeps shutting off and take forever to restart. Not a good quality
