  • Awesome choice for anyone.
So I worked at Best Buy for like a year as a computer sales rep. It was my job to figure out what machine worked to who based on the things they wanted to achieve. Having this laptop about a week in, I have to say this little thing is amazing. It has its response issues, it's a Celeron. I didn't say it could do anything. You won't game or edit videos, you'll struggle using photoshop or even playing Minecraft I'm sure. But everyone could make use of a laptop like this. It's small, light, quick, the trackpad and keyboard are high quality (what you would expect from Asus). No one doesn't browse the internet or type things out, and for those things it's perfect. Paired with the ability to upgrade the storage indefinitely with a micro SD card or use cloud storage? Super powerful machine for the price. For comparison, I also have a $1,500 ROG from 2018 and a MacBook Pro with the TouchBar, I have a few desktops, and ultimately I can still find use from this little guy. 10/10 would buy again. Actually, I might too. ... show more

  • Great value for a solid laptop
Compared to all the laptops which I have owned previously, this little one has the best value. It is light to carry around and perfect for browsing and doing some works. It came with Windows S mode that could be switched out to Windows 10 (make sure that you have updated with Microsoft Store to do this). In S mode, you can't install Apps or software outside of the store). Yes, 32GB HD is not a lot of space and you do need to be mindful about storage usage. It is easy to monitor storage usage with the Windows Storage tool. After uninstalling most games and unwanted apps/software, performing updates and installing Office 365, I still have about 10GB free space. With microSD expansion, storing files is really not an issue. Although I have used Chrome browser in the past, I find using Edge to be smoothier and faster than Chrome on this laptop. Keyboard is easy and nice to type. The laptop starts fast and the fully charged battery lasts about 8-9 hours. Overall, I am impressed and could not be happier with this purchase. Come on - for about $150, I could get pretty much what I need to do on all the laptops I have owned in the past. This is my impression and experience after having it for two days and I will update if necessary. ... show more

  • Cheap and simple. Replacing after my third semester in college
I bought this for college, as my major does not require the use of any demanding applications, just a browser and Word. I think this is a good, cheap laptop if you just need it to browse the web or use simple things such as Word or Spotify. I was able to complete all my school work on this laptop, and it worked for me during the pandemic when many of my classes were online over Zoom or just watching videos on Canvas. However, if you need to download anything onto the laptop, you will run out of space very quickly. There's already lots of useless apps already installed on Windows 10 that takes up space and you cannot get rid of. Also, the best games it can run are simple ones like Undertale and Among Us. Do not try to play anything like IMVU or anything with 3D graphics as it is absolutely incapable. Over time, it becomes slower and sometimes take extra time to load multiple tabs or browsers. Again, this is a simple laptop that is great for internet browsing or using already installed applications. I am moving onto something with more RAM and a much better processor to do work for an internship and scientific research that includes programming. ... show more

  • A great little laptop!
This is a great little laptop! Everyone is talking about how slow it is but I was playing music on Spotify while also surfing the web and downloading two apps in the background and it still loaded websites very quickly! Over all 10/10 would buy again no need for an expensive laptop. The build quality is another good part of it. While it is all plastic it feels really nice even though it is lightweight. I don’t know if it would survive a drop or not but it feels pretty sturdy. The screen quality is good too. The one con I can think of is the fact that it comes with windows 10s but it only took a quick google search and about 5 minutes to change it back to normal windows. Also with a one year subscription to office 365 you are basically getting this for $55. ($155 when I bought it) If I have any future problems I’ll try to update this review and let you know:) Also sorry for weird writing style I don’t really know how to make a review flow well. ... show more

  • I highly regret this purchase. Absolutley terrible computer.
This computer was a waste of $150. I had bought a chromebook 11 in 2016 for about the same price, and it was fantastic. Incredibly fast, great memory storage, super durable, and cheap. so I hoped to get a similar experience from this product. It has been a disappointment since the very first time I opened it. Not only is windows 10 the worst platform ever, it is incredibly restrictive. Something called "Microsoft smart screen" prevents you from downloading any plug ins or apps on the computer that are not from the Microsoft store. This means you are only capable of using Bing as an internet explorer. I have explored every option to remove Microsoft smart screen, which is literally impossible. Not even online live Microsoft support could fix my problem. It crashes almost every time I use it. I cannot even play music in one tab and browse the internet on the other without it making this computer incredibly slow. It has practically zero storage space. It can't even connect to the internet half the time. This computer is a waste of atoms and materials on our earth. I wish desperately I could have my money back. This computer has been a failure of a product ever since I first turned it on. I hope no one makes the mistake I did by wasting my precious STUDENT MONEY on a product that is worthless. I will never again buy an asus computer, or use Microsoft software. I was practically scammed of $150. Please don't buy this computer. ... show more
