Style: X470-F
That feeling when the system starts without problem right after pushing that power button for the first time ;) I know people had problems with older bios but I din't experience any of that, I installed a Ryzen 7 2700X and I had no problems at all,my RAM is running at 3200 out of the box without overclocking, and just to be safe I did updated my BIOS to the latest release. I have nothing negative to post about it at this moment, for some reason Cortana is not available but that seems to be a Microsoft problem since other people are experiencing the same problem after the latest windows 10 update. Funny in my previous system I did a lot of research to disable Cortana, now that is nott working I'm doing research to find out why Cortana is not working and how to fix her lol ... show more

  • What i hoped for and not looking back!
Style: X570-F
I run a Ryzen 3700x - 16GB G.Skill 3600mhz - Asus Strix 2070 - Corsair H115i Pro RGB on Windows 10 Pro . I upgraded to the Strix-F Gaming from the Crosshair Vii Hero (non wifi). My hopes were that 1. I didn't have to reinstall windows 10, just swap mobos and boot up, let the devices detect and get rollin. I did just that, didn't have to reinstall windows, everything was detected no problems and went on as if nothing happened. Note: I did do a fresh install just for my own peace of mind. 2. That my DRAM would be able to run at the timings they are supposed to run at. I was running my 3600mhz ram at 3200mhz with weird timings of 22-22-22-22-(##), could not change anything, latest bios of 2501 x64, it was a no-go on anything higher than 3200. installed my ram in this Strix-F and bam, 3600mhz @ 16-16-16-16-36 no problems. 3. That my Corsair AIO would be detected in iCUE, it was! On the CH7 Hero it would never be detected by the iCUE software, the cooler worked obviously but I had no control over anything, now I have full control which is great. I thought that since I was still plugging the usb cable into the usb 2 internal port that it still wouldn't be detected (researched revealed that plugging the unit into a usb 3 internal port fixed the non detection issue, but I didn't and don't have an extra internal usb 3 header available) But, it works now. Overall I couldn't be happier about this mobo, it got me out of my problems with the CH7 Hero completely. It runs everything cool, it looks amazing as most ASUS boards do. For an x570 board it is right in the middle of the price range, 140$-700$ for new x570 boards...some being badly designed but still offering x570 and some being built with every feature in mind for every scenario. I think what I have found is the perfect point in the x570 offerings. I recommend this board for anyone is spending in this price range and anyone wanting a future proof board at a reasonable price considering other options. I chose this over the MSI MPG x570, something about reading how the build quality wasn't what people expected had me rethink that option, and I am glad I did. ... show more

  • Great motherboard - horrendous support
Style: X470-F
Long story short - I think I would actually love this board if I had a functioning one, and Asus has provided the single worst customer service experience of my life. I ordered this board for a build that I finally completed late November 2019. Shortly after completing the build, the on-board RGB lighting, as well as both LED headers on the motherboard ceased to function completely. The rest of the board functioned fine - my computer was stable and ran fantastically. The problem is though I spent extra money on this board vs other boards which would function fine entirely because of the aesthetic capabilities of this mother board. At this point I submitted a support ticket with Asus to get the board RMA'd. In between some bad timing around the holidays, then horrendously slow service from Asus (they had my motherboard for almost a month) It was early to mid Feburary before I had a replacement board. This would have been fine, however the replacement board was a complete lemon. It repeatedly blue screened out of the box, and is in no way stable what so ever. I contacted Asus again, and it took multiple weeks for them to understand the issue was with the replacement board and not my original board, despite repeated clear and concise emails to them. Near the beginning of March 2019 I finally had an Asus Rep inform me they could do an advanced replacement and would send me a new motherboard along with a shipping label to return the defunct board. Great! Accept then the rep informed they were out of stock and could not replace the board until it was back in stock. It is now April 2019, I have been without a functioning desktop for going on 5 months, and Asus STILL does not have the board in stock. When I ask about a refund, they refuse and tell me to talk to Amazon, but I am well outside of Amazon's return window because of how long Asus has taken on this whole situation. All told I've sent and received over 30 messages from Asus, had at least three phone calls, and I'm still without a functioning board. I will NEVER again buy another Asus product or recommend them to a friend, which is sad because I was a die hard Asus fan for over a decade - I've had three Asus motherboards and an Asus laptop that were all great, but this one experience has ruined them as a company for me. ... show more

  • Great Motherboard
Style: X470-F
I purchased this board during Prime Days even though it’s more board than I’ll ever need. I’m not a fan of RGB or crazy overclocks but at $150 it was a steal and I’ve had great experiences with Asus for a multitude of builds for myself, friends and others. I coupled it with an AMD 2600X, 3200 G.Skill memory, Intel 256 gb NVME and a 500gb Crucial M.2 SSD. The hour-long build with Windows 10, driver and utilities install along with a bit of tweaking went without a hitch and the results are nothing but amazing as compared to my old daily driver. I expect to get a lot of years out of this one. Would I buy this motherboard again? Without hesitation, especially at the price I paid. As I mentioned, this MB has more features than I’ll ever use but it’s well built and the BIOS is easy to navigate. It’s a keeper. ... show more
