    • G513RC-EH71 has no per key RGB
Bought this G513RC-EH71 during black Friday sale for $799. This is a 4 panel RGB keyboard, not per-key RGB. I selected the 1TB option, but the ASUS website specs said it was 512gb drive, which I received. I only play Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it runs at ~100 fps on high settings. I tried the MUX settings and other settings in Armoury Crate, and it made little difference, so I left it at the Optimized setting. I also set the AURA lights so that it displays CPU temperature, green, yellow, red. After installing said game from Steam, I had 75% of my SDD left, so I upgraded the SDD to 4TB and upgraded the ram to 64mb using Crucial components. I like that it can charge through the proprietary power input, or through a USB-C port (100w). HDMI video out and USB-C video out all work like a charm. First to explain my rating; I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on that end of things. The value will come to light latter. Screen is fine for my use, could be small for gamers. I got this for my hobby, astrophotography, the backlit keyboard is a must and adjustable colors and brightness are great, (typing in the dark). The screen is fine for what I am doing and I can preprocess my photos before going to my desktop for major processing. The desktop is a custom what would be considered high end gaming PC. My value issue is more with Amazon than the product. I had selected the 1T storage package on my screen when I paid for it. There records show a 500G storage order, half the size of the laptop it is replacing. My hobby generates thousands of photos in the 30000-meg range verry quickly, why would I skimp there. Dispute is on-going, my advice if you do this, check your order to make sure you get what you want. You as a gamer might be very happy with this, I don't know. ... show more

I don't have more than 7 Months with the new laptop and I have take care of it so much, but the other day the screen just stopped working. I did all that technical support of ASUS told me to do but nothing worked so it looks like the screen came with failures because thecnics of ASUS told me it is a hardware problem. The laptop is in warranty right now but asus doesn't give any option or solution more than send the laptop from my country all the way to US just for a repair, something that doesn't have any sense. To purchase this laptop was a very disgusting experience. Don't buy it, never recommended and the attention is terrible. ... show more

For the first year this computer was amazing. It ran games great at mid to high graphics, ran some different CAD programs flawlessly. Less than a month after a year ownership it would constantly crash and give BSOD with multiple error messages to the point of not starting. I’ve been using this laptop for quite a while now it has been working great, it can get a bit overheated but that seems the norm for gaming laptops at least in my experience. The shifting colors on the light up keyboard is what sold me on this one and I think it was definitely worth the purchase.

The mouse pad is oriented toward the left side of the keyboard making it awkward to reach for a R handed person. The on off touch switch is located on the left side of the computer in a place that is naturally place to pick the computer up therefore making it very easy to inadvertently turn off.
