  • Partially broken out of the box
Color: Black Style: Spatha X Pattern Name: Mouse
I'm a big ROG fan, I was super excited to recieve this mouse. To my suprise, when pulling it out of the box, I could hear something loose rattling around Inside. I popped off the cover, and was unable to see anything obvious. I Gave the cover a shake and could still hear the rattle of plastic. Shortly after this small piece of broken plastic came out around the DPI switch portion of the cover. Not the quality I expect for the money spent... Update: Amazon replaced the device free of charge. New device came quick and intact, no issues so far. Battery life is great, mouse is responsive and a perfect fit for my hand. ... show more

  • Really Comfortable if you have Bigger Hands and Hate Claw Gripping your Mice.
Color: Black Style: Spatha X Pattern Name: Mouse
I bought this mouse not because I needed it but because I wanted something more premium to elevate my PC gaming experience. And so far, the mouse has delivered just that, a premium gaming experience. I'm coming from a Red Dragon MMO Mouse which I'll admit I was skeptical, but was honestly a great purchase for the money. I still wanted something more gamer-esque, reliable, and more importantly wireless. So far the ASUS Spatha X has had great wireless connection, a comfortable grip, and decent customizable options through the Armory Crate (ASUS) app. It also allows for macros for those that like/need to set up multiple key binds to one button. The Mouse is a little heavier than your typical gaming mice but it feels really comfortable in my hand as it gives me a greater sense of control when I flick my wrist around. If you are one of those people that "lift" their mouses around quite a bit when gaming, this is probably not the mouse for you as this does require a firmer grip to do so and may lead to accidental clicking of buttons (FYI. the buttons can easily be disabled.). Speaking of the button, they seem a little unorthodox at first but you quickly get accustomed to them (will vary by person though). The side buttons are actually well placed and easy to reach so kudos to that ASUS for that since not all Mice get button placement right the first time around (I'm looking at you G502 Hero). I have had ZERO drop of wireless connectivity in my gaming sessions (Shooters, MMOs, etc.) but will gladly update the review if I experience any in the future. Keep in mind that I also have almost 10 different wi-fi devices around me (6x6 ft) and have experienced no interference of any kind WHATSOEVER which was my biggest worry coming into a big purchase like this. Now price....Is the Mouse worth 150 bones? Well there are definitely other options that work and feel just as great for 50 or more dollars less. I myself almost settled on a g502 x plus which is one of,if not, THE logitech top of the line mouse, but decided against it since it felt a tad bit too small in my hand. All n all, The ASUS Spatha X is a great mouse that will excite even the pickiest PC gamers and if you don't agree, COME FIGHT ME!!! ... show more

  • Great mouse, bad cable
Color: BLACK Style: Chakram X Pattern Name: Mouse
I upgraded from a normal Chakram to this Chakram X Origin. Had issues with the mouse not working in wired mode. Eventually realized that the USB-A to USB-C cable that ASUS provides in the box was bad and causing the mouse to quit working after 10-30 seconds, also causing Windows to give errors about power surge on the USB port. Switched to a third party, more durable cable and the mouse works fine. Great mouse, love that it has USB-C connectivity, along side wireless and bluetooth. Excellent for travelling. Can't believe ASUS includes such as poor quality cable for a $140~ mouse. ... show more

  • Great for what I bought it for, but with some drawbacks.
Color: Black Style: Spatha X Pattern Name: Mouse
I picked up this mouse because the Logitech 502 Hero I've been using for years didn't have enough thumb buttons for what I wanted to use them for in Star Citizen. The thumb buttons are what really make this mouse, IMO. The chevron-style arrangement is a brilliant and intuitive design, and I can very easily manage those buttons with my thumb while still moving the mouse and clicking with precision. Shifting to this mouse has definitely upped my game as a fighter pilot in Star Citizen, allowing me to shift my power management hotkeys over to my thumb and reducing the workload on my left hand. Getting that upgrade in capability did come with some downsides, however. First, a big downside for me personally is the size of the mouse. It is definitely pretty chonky. This is subjective, tho, as I have really small hands, so if you have average or larger hands and prefer a chonkier-sized mouse, this might be an up-check for you. It also has a fixed weight, and with the metal bottom plate, it's a fairly heavy mouse. That doesn't bother me much with my uses, but mouse weight can be a huge factor for some. I also don't like the lack of free-spin wheel toggle. That can get rather annoying at times, especially with how sensitive the middle mouse-click is (I'll frequently activate middle mouse button during long scrolls). Button durability might also be an issue. My left mouse button has recently started double-clicking on brief single-clicks. That might be a spring issue, or it might be a software glitch that mice in general can randomly get on rare occasion. I haven't taken it apart to mess with the switch yet, but it's more likely a switch spring issue, which is extremely frustrating since I've only had the mouse for a couple months. No rating on battery life, as I run it plugged in (I prefer wired mice over wireless, but there is no wired version). ... show more

  • Was either this or the G502x
Color: Black Style: Spatha X Pattern Name: Mouse
I absolutely love the scroll wheel on the G502x and I wish more companies would adopt something similar, but I ultimately went with the Spatha because it's simply so much more comfortable. This is one of the few mice that has a ring finger rest which I find absolutely essential. It's comfortable and has all the thumb buttons I need. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit heavy which is unfavorable for fps games which I prefer, and the scroll wheel encoder is a standard type that feels spongy will inevitably wear out. At least they made it easy to take the mouse apart and fix when the time comes. It's definitely the most expensive mouse I've ever bought so I hope it lasts. Seems to be built like a brick which is good. ... show more
