As the title says, this PC is insane. It’s super powerful and honestly a really good price for the machine you get. The machine runs insanely fast, most games get a lot of power. Very capable computer. I do a lot of photography work, and the Nvidia card makes functions like denoise a breeze. What used to take 20 minutes on my old laptop, now take 4 - 5 seconds on this beast. I'm not a fan of the see through side cover and the colored lights, but it doesn't bother me either.     • Defective, came virus infected (expiro), was returned
When I got this computer the ASUS box was poorly packaged - opened and spilled out into an amazon box. When I plugged in the computer and tried to run anything, I had to do updates which I expected but it could not finish them all because the windows installer was not working - which also prevented me from installing drivers required to play any games. Windows also had an error message saying the Windows product key was invalid. I contacted ASUS about the computer not working properly and they were able to send the product key, which did not fix the problem, they said it sounds like a problem to call Microsoft about. I contacted Microsoft and they could not get remote access to help but suggested a full reinstall of windows. In doing that I got a message saying the system recovery failed and no changes could be made. Nearly two weeks in to trying to get this computer to run anything I decided to return. When I plugged my USB back in to my old computer I got 78 alerts right away saying files were infected with the Expiro virus which meant my old computer along with all my data is now compromised. This could have only come from the computer that I had bought thinking it was new. When I contacted Amazon about returning the defective computer they said it was listed as 'used' which I could not find stated in the listing, I would not have considered buying a used computer for a new price, especially since bad things (just like this) might happen. I have never had any buying experience this bad and will not be using amazon to buy any more computers because of it. ... show more

Easy set up, nice and quiet, not too flashy for a minimalist. I use this for work, watching tv and gaming. Playing no man’s sky right now which works beautifully.

    • First desktop PC I didn’t build myself
I’ve built many PCs for myself over the years but I decided to try a pre-built system for once and this Asus feels like i made a good choice. First, it comes with a keyboard and mouse. Unexpected. Booted it up to the basic Windows 11 setup and was happy to see very little add-on software. It just has the Asus utility software to manage the hardware functions. There was an offer for MS office and a Mcafee antivirus which I declined and removed. Loaded up some games and performance is great. It’s just below top of the line which is something I aim for when building. The prices of components are more affordable but everything runs well. I've used Asus parts in the past and never had issues. I don’t really think the glass side and lights are important butvit is a good way to inspect the inside. Owned for a month now with no issues. Upgraded to this machine from an HP Victus gaming laptop with a 3050ti and and Ryzen 7. The ROG smokes the laptop. Purchased specifically to run MSFS2020 and it does so very nicely. Easy to set up, and no technical issues thus far. Pretty happy with this investment. ... show more

    • This is a great higher mid-range gaming pc besides these two issues…
For starters, this pc is a beast for most games at their normal ultra settings achieving 120 fps for 1080p and 60 for 1440p. I’ve heard that this pc can run cyber punk at nearly 60fps at maxed out setting though I haven’t tried this myself yet. Overall its performance is great and really impressive compared ton competition like Alienware and skytech which have similar or higher prices, making it quite a steal even at its normal price. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of the case design but that is subjective and the case does have some great functionality like its built in headset stand which works great. Now for the bad. First off for me I can’t get the advertised aura creator app to work at all and tech support is other dog crap. The agent I had couldn’t spell in English correctly and was clearly copy and pasting from some website. I could tell because he left the text “view example in the picture to the right” in almost every messege. Just sloppy smh. Both of those issues have been commonly reported on sites like Reddit and qoura but one that I couldn’t figure out was not being able to connect to game servers. No solution I found worked. Well guess what. THEY SENT ME A BROKEN WIFI ADAPTER. DOA. So to fix this I had to use lan cable which yes is faster but still nothing should be broken on my brand new 1500 dollar pc. Of course this is the absolute cheapest thing that could’ve been broken but still, it’s the principle of the issues we’re having here.
