  • Best card with no power connector for 2012 Dell PC
This runs 1080p games just fine. I did not want to purchase a new power supply as I am running old hardware and this card is powered entirely by the PCI slot. It lets me play almost all games at good frame rates and detail. Casual games, that is - couch coop mostly and some fps and adventure/puzzle. I do not play recent "AAA" games, most of them are pre-2015. For those, this card is a rocket. The price of the card itself is a little higher than some alternatives but once you factor in a power supply it's a no-brainer. Eventually I'll upgrade the whole PC. ... show more

  • good entry level GPU, draws power from the PCIE slot
I installed this into my Dell Inspiron 3670 (Intel i5-9400 and 12 GB RAM) and it works great. This was the fastest GPU I could find that did not require a separate power connector. Instead, this efficient little guy draws all the power it needs from the PCIE slot, and runs with my anemic 290 watt power supply. I am able to play all modern games at 1080P and high settings at 60 fps, and is a great upgrade to a prebuilt PC. Note that the GPU exhausts its heat into the case, so you may need to upgrade your cooling. My Dell PC case had no fans, so I added two 80mm fans with a separate 12 volt power supply to run them since my Dell uses a proprietary power supply, motherboard, and power connector with no extra fan headers or molex connections. ... show more

  • No matter what, I can't get it to install drivers.
I've tried everything to get my computer to recognize this card and install the drivers. I ran driver removal software, I tried in safe mode. I even modified files in the drivers to force the install. Everything fails. It's almost as if the Chip on the GPU card isn't an NVIDIA chip.

  • Great Card - so-so software support
I have been using Nvidia cards since the GTX 280 series, and the CUDA software for image processing, image analysis, and pattern recognition. I use AMD processors and Nvidia graphics cards which is not the preferred match (Nvidia prefers intel) on Linux (Nvidia prefers Windows). So I have three AMD systems (2, 4, and 8 cores respectively) which needed to be upgraded. I bought two GTX 1650's, and moved the GTX 650 we had to replace one of the GTX 280's. In the process, all systems were upgraded from Fedora 33 to Fedora 35, and the OpenCV image processing to 4.5. First of all, since Nvidia has a war with the open source community (since they provide only binary drivers) the Nvidia drivers were removed and replaced with Nouveau drivers (which are open source). I reloaded the Nvidia drivers so I could have CUDA compute capability again, and everything is busted. OpenCV can't compile, nor can the CUDA samples. Apparently Nvidia has adopted such a Windows Centric philosophy they are three versions ahead of the most recent Linux C compiler in their requirements (C++14 exists only in Windows). Perhaps the war with Nouveau and the open source purists has soured them on Linux. But is also risks those who have been using their products for over a decade to do real work. If it doesn't compile, don't release it. The Gtx 1650 is a delightful graphics card (as is the Gtx 650) but I bought it because it was more than that. ... show more

  • Good graphics, Solid card for 4k@60fps streaming
Decent card, simple and quick install, downloaded drivers prior to removal of Radeon card and Uninstalled AMD drivers. On boot up automatically found and installed drivers. Was hoping this wasn't a TU117 and was the updated card, no such luck. Not a big deal as this is not a gaming rig or used for content creation. Graphics are fast even with an older CPU AMD FX with 32gb of RAM. Used solely for streaming 4k video and light web surfing as an HTPC. Card is performing well for streaming. Handles 2160p@60fps with no issue. Due to chip shortage priced high but its supply and demand so I can't complain. Didnt want to wait as new 120hz native panel X900h Sony 85 inch being delivered tomorrow. Can't wait to see how it works together with all the upgrades to the HTPC. ... show more

  • NICE LITTLE GRAPHICS CARD!!
For those who have answered the question of the power supply, the manufacturer recommends a 300w power supply. As a matter of fact I am running this card with a 250w power supply with out any hicups or choppy frame rates. Granted, I would like a 300w supply, but with my Dell prebuilt Inspiron 3668, there is no up grade. Great little gaming card, VR ready and very quiet. Using this with the latest games and no problems. ... show more

  • Arrived sooner than expected.
I ordered this Video Card and it arrived a lot sooner than was expected. Was very easy to install and get computer back online and playing games. So far it runs very quietly with no fan noise. I am not one to overclock a video card so can not tell you if it can handle that. I am just happy when I can play World of Warcraft with no video issues. ... show more

  • The little Gpu I could get
Would I rather have a 3060, 3070 or 3080 yes. Will this 1650 get my son through the time it takes for normalcy to return to the GPU market I hope so. Then I’ll use it to build a cheap gaming pc. The rest of the parts of my son’s will handle an upgrade. CPU Ryzen 3700X, 570 MoBo, NZXT 240 AIO, 850 PSU, 32 RAM, 1tb NVMe SSD and 2Tb HDD. ... show more
