  • Does an OK job for its price range and compactness.
Regularly working up a sweat is critical to my well-being and I've become kind of a wimp about running in the cold, so for this pandemic winter I decided to get a treadmill. My house is not large and I wouldn't want to have to lug around a giant plastic metal lump when I next move, so I shopped for compact/foldable one. I needed to be able to actually _run_ on this treadmill but I didn't care about much else. Pulse monitor, screen, bluetooth, blah blah. No thanks. Definitely don't need a subscription. Just need to stretch my legs for a few miles; that's it. So after a few months of semi-regular use (2-3 times a week on average), here's how this one's been doing. The good: - More or less fits behind a door when folded. (Note doorframe is a few inches from flush with the wall so there's some extra space.) - I can indeed run on it when it's cold out. That's it! That's the good. For me, those two things are very very good! It's all I really wanted. I haven't even tried most of the features. But even with my minimal needs, here's my list of the not so good: - Delivery was s#*t. They dumped it in front of my house, when I'd requested the in-home delivery. They didn't even knock on my door. I live up a small flight of stairs and I'm reasonably strong for my size, but this thing is _not_ easy for one person to move up stairs in its box. Not sure who to blame for this but there was no follow-up from Amazon or anyone else. My order history says it was "handed directly to a resident." This is false. - As other folks have mentioned, the engine makes a bad sound when the inclination is set to 0. I've adjusted by putting a couple of 1/4" wood slats under the rear legs. Then inclination at 3 makes it just about level and the sound goes away. - Max speed is only 8 mph. Don't get me wrong: I couldn't maintain that speed for long. But I _would_ like to be able to push myself every now and then. - Slow speed changes. I've been trying out some of the Apple Fitness+ treadmill workouts and the higher intensity segments are silly on this thing. It takes the whole 45 seconds of the "go go go give it everything you've got!" just to get the treadmill to up that 8 mph ... (which, again, isn't really everything I've got). - Capacitive touch controls. Ugh. Can't wait till we're past this phase in tech fads. - Your iPad will fall off the iPad holder due to the whole machine shaking when you're running. I've adjusted by placing a towel between the iPad and the holder for friction. - There's a section in the manual on aligning the track. I've tried a few times but it keeps migrating to both the left and the right on its own ... so I've kind of given up. - There's also a section on applying lubrication and it's impossible to apply lubrication on the side the track has migrated towards. - Here's the worst one. I tried plugging my iPad into the USB port once and the engine started failing. It would abruptly and randomly reduce speed—enough so that if I'd been really running at the time, it would surely have resulted in injury. I don't really need to plug in my iPad, so I don't, and I haven't encountered this problem since then. BUT it does make me question the overall quality and safety of this thing when an iPad's power draw can create, like, actual peril. Even given all the above, this treadmill has been a lifesaver at times when I reaaaallly needed to move. And it fits behind a door (mostly). Overall I'm glad I bought it. For its price range and compactness, it does a pretty good job. ... show more

  • Great Walking Treadmill For The Cost
I have to agree with most everyone's positive reviews. I purchased this because of the smaller size, and the durability of it. So far it hasn't disappointed me. I have a smaller house, so this fits in nicely! Set up was a breeze! All I had to do was install the hand rails and oil the belt per the instructions. Plug it in and start walking. I included with the treadmill purchase the BalanceFrom GoFit High Density Treadmill Exercise Bike Equipment Mat, 3 x 6.5-ft, Regular - it seemed to give the treadmill a bit of extra cushion when walking. I purchased the treadmill per my Dr. wanted me to start walking briskly a minimum of 35 mins a day, and the weather can be quite foul much of the time around here. I did a lot of research on these smaller walking treadmills...many I considered, but never purchased because they did not seem to offer much in walking speeds, inclines or durability. I wanted a treadmill that would grow with me as I regained my stamina. As I am walking I bump up the speed and incline, and then drop it back off, this is to simulate walking outside...the ease of use on the handle bars for the speed and incline make it super easy for me to get a bit of a challenging brisk walk in. This treadmill is fitting the bill perfectly so far. I get up every morning, make my cup of decaf, and while it is brewing, I am getting my steps in on the treadmill. I have it set up so that I can watch tv while working out, and the time fly's by! Per the treadmill and its many functions, what can I say - it is awesome! It keeps track of my steps, calories, heart rate, speed, incline, time, and distance, and the safety clip (that was another selling point for me), and foldable! So much in such a small package!!! I have found that the step counter and the heart rate function the most valuable for me. I also love the fact they put the speed and incline on the handles...very handy and easy to increase or decrease your speed. I have to kindly disagree with the those who stated it doesn't have all the bells and whistles - this has all the bells and whistles that count and then some. On a side note, not pleased with the Asurion warranty company that Amazon goes through. I also purchased the extended warranty for this treadmill, just in case. I pray I never need the warranty, but it was a small extra bit of expense for my peace of mind. I am still waiting on the Asurion Warranty to come. I have contacted them in regards to this, they explained it would take 24-48 hours to send me an email copy of the warranty and they would back it with a hard copy in the mail. I simply stated, 24-48 hours for an email copy? Seems a bit long to send an email. We shall see. I will update this if things change. In the meantime, this exercise treadmill was a great purchase for me! Update: I received my hard copy of my Asurion warranty yesterday on May 28, 2019. It took 2 weeks to receive it, but now I have it in hand. Note: what they sent me in email was very different than the hard copy. I suggest anyone who purchases the extended warranty to be sure they get an email and a hard copy for their records. I am still using and loving this treadmill on a daily basis! ... show more

  • Loved It Until Tonight
I've had this treadmill for exactly one week today. I've used it maybe 10 times in the 7 days. I loved it until tonight. Let me start at the beginning. When my husband saw it, he was not happy thinking it would take forever to put together. I told him there may be a million pieces in the box, but from what I read it was supposed to be a breeze, and it was. I love the slim fit and the way it folds flat. It is a little heavy for me to push upright but I can. The speed and auto incline is wonderful. Now, why I loved it until tonight. I was on earlier today with no problem, but when I got on tonight, it would beep once, and the speed started automatically going from 3mph to 5mph by itself. It hasn't been doing that, and I haven't touched any buttons or programs. I made sure I wasn't pushing the speed button on the handle by mistake, but it was speeding up by itself. I hope someone can tell me what might have happened and how to fix it. I'm older, and I can do 3.8mph for a little while, but there's no way I can do 5mph. ... show more
