Do not trust this product. Like other reviews have said, the alternator began to overheat and died after ~2 months. I spent another month replacing the battery, serpentine belt and a few fuses as well as the terminals, trying to keep my car alive but I kept getting battery and engine warning lights. Finally, my car died on the highway and had to jump it to a shop where they found and replaced a shorted alternator wire and informed me of the faulty alternator itself. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra 100 for real alternator. ... show more

I had this installed the day after I received it December 20 because my previous alternator had stopped working therefore so was the battery. Once the alternator was replaced everything was great and my car turned on with no problems. About two weeks ago the battery signal turned on the dashboard, went to get the battery checked out which I forgot to mention was also new. The battery was at 20 percent meaning it’s not being charged by the alternator and I had been driving with it like that all along. Don’t be surprised if this happens to you too. ... show more

This alternator replaced the original in my 06' Honda Civic. No issues as of yet. Easy to install. Cheaper than the auto part stores and you don't have to send your core in. Times are getting tough, so I'll just rebuild the old one with a rebuild kit from Amazon and have it, as back up.

This is an alternator only in looks and not functionality. Installed it back on November 12 and today February 13 my car died while driving, tow truck took me to a service garage. They checked my alternator and I had to get a new one installed because this one is crap. It wasn't charging my battery (which was replaced when alternator was replaced) battery was only at 2%. Do yourself a favor and just buy one from Rockauto. ... show more
