Works well, cables are thin which makes maneuvering easier, and comes with 2 12VHPWR thermal cables with safety mechanism to ensure connections are safe. Is it worth buying? Only if you have a VERY expensive GPU to protect in extreme conditions that supports 12VHPWR. In that regard, yes, very worth it. The modular connections are also nice to have. Know this. This power supply so far has been great. Has the power needs for anyone. That being said this is a new product so custom cables are not available. The 24 pin cable is individually sleeved but is then bundled sleeved together. If you take that bundle apart there is capacitors in the wiring harness so using a universal cable comb won’t really work. I tried. So you left with one option if you want a fully custom and clean look and that is cable extensions. Overall this power supply for the cost is amazing. All the connectors feel secure and function very well. The bright neon green connector for the 12v cable makes sure you have it fully seated when the color disappears.     • Works with 115V and 240V. Great 1650W Power Supply.
Style: Taichi Size: 1650W
Works great as long as you have a 20A circuit with115V+ mains. Efficiency is good. Will also work with 240V mains, which will likely be how I set up my next home Lab because it increases efficiency from around 91% to 94%. Rating sticker says it is good for1650W with 115V+ mains, but this is lowered to 1300W if your voltage is below 115V (ie 110V). If you have low voltage in your area you will need to get an AVR (automatic voltage regulator) that can boost your voltage in case of low voltage/dips (I have one built in to my UPS). If you are buying this power supply you should be protecting your hardware with a minimum of an AVR, and preferably with a high current UPS (1900W+) with AVR built in. Breaking it in on cheaper hardware while I am waiting for my new Xeon 6 CPU which is backordered.. Needed this power supply because I will be installing a 350W CPU with one 600W GPU to start, but likely will be adding another 600W GPU to this rig, and 1650W is really the minimum for a rig this size. If I ever go up to 3 GPUs, I will need to go 240V to get enough power in this chassis. ... show more

I bought this one because of its safety monitoring support. Whether you like it or not, modern GPUs are presenting a little extra risk that comes in tandem with their performance. So having this PSU along with the L shaped cord that you can buy separately brings a tremendous amount of peace of mind. I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and it runs quiet stays cool, and does its job. Plus, I don’t worry about melting issues anymore. Stay far away from this one. First unit was DOA; failure to supply any power from the 12v rail. Would only supply 5v standby power. Second unit lasted a week before hearing a loud pop, no doubt blowing a transistor. This is absolutely unacceptable and I would pay attention to the wave of issues this PSU has from online forums. Stay far away from this. This is a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. Gigabyte Aorus Master X3D 9950X3D Gskill 24Gx2 MSI 5090 Suprim Will now get my money back on this product and go back to the old faithful Seasonic.
