Very easy to assemble...the size will work great for a medium sized dog. A large dog would have a hard time if you place a dog bed inside. With hay or a blanket a large dog would probably be fine.

I have only had the house up for 2 days and so far all good. I will say that it is made for a small to medium size dog. I have a German Shepherd and she has to duck down to go in it. As far as being waterproof I’m not sure because I have a tarp over my dog lot and no rain yet.

    • Cute and easy to assemble
Initially we lived in an apartment and our patio was covered so it was great, but then we moved to a house and it rained. The water got in and my pup got a little wet.

    • A little on the small side, but nice
Our dog is 55-60 lbs (she was 55 when we last weighed her, but may have grown a little since), and she was really convinced that she did NOT fit in this doghouse. Eventually, with much coaxing and setting up treats as breadcrumbs, she did get in, and she can go all the way in and turn around, but is still making up her mind about it. We're expecting rain this week, so we'll see if she likes it more then! ... show more

I'm a senior woman who finds instructions on paper very difficult if not impossible to follow, especially if concerning heavy awkward parts for a dog house. But, THIS dog house was actually easy to assemble. I got it together in less than an hour. Very spacious and secure. Only wish that a periodic re-staining was not needed as was recommended. ... show more
