  • Better than I expected. Both channel sound good, and it responds like an amp, not just a speaker.
I had low expectations for another small-speaker device, but this is a fine guitar amp that plays through small speakers. Manufacturers can assemble electrically compatible parts and place them in a housing in the favored style. That may lead to sound, but not good sound. Audio components need to be listened to and tuned. As for guitar amps, that's pretty much all they are. This box, though small, has been tuned as a guitar amp and behaves much as a larger-speakered amp would. There is a genuine clean (green) channel with enough overhead for wide dynamics. Start raising the gain and louder playing gets the distortion first. Hit the button for the red channel and the gain knob dials in distortion from overdrive to modern metal. I'm impressed with the sound and the feeling I'm playing through a larger guitar amp. But there is an inescapable truth.... Two-inch speakers can only do so much. Even though they are well-tuned, bass is lacking like any speaker this size. However, it is still much better than any cell phone. I recommend this for anyone needing a small amp. It's economical and familiar, and I'm certain that a nearly identical product is being sold for several times more, with the logo of a big-amp company glued on. ... show more

  • Reasonably effective and versatile
This is an absurdly small guitar amp - it looks very much like a "real" one, with the usual controls, only nearly dollhouse-sized. It does actually work fairly well, though it has the physical limitations you'd expect being so small - bass is weak at best, and you can't really dial it up to 11. If all you need to fill is a fairly small room though, or you're using it for practice purposes, this does quite nicely and takes up almost no space in your backpack. It contains a battery that's charged using a standard USB-C port, with enough juice to run for several hours, so you don't have to worry about finding a place to plug in to use it if you want to play tunes in the park or by a campfire. There are three inputs available to feed audio: a standard fullsize audio jack such as guitars have; the even more common mini-audio headphone-style jack used with headphones; and, yes, a Bluetooth connection so you can play tunes from your phone. There's also a headphone-out jack, though I'm not really sure why you'd need that. You can switch between "clean" and "drive" modes which affect how the gain control works. There are gain and tone dials, and independent volume controls for the main amp input and the aux input. For its size, I think it does an acceptable job, though it does seem a bit pricey for what it is, so shop around. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Good for Its Size
I ordered this amplifier to use with my viola and electric pickup, and the sound quality really exceeded my expectations for such a small amp. The clean and overdrive channels are both solid, offering a good range of tones. The amp is compact and portable, making it easy to carry around, and it’s rechargeable via USB, which is super convenient. It’s a great little amp for practice or even just casual playing at home, and I’m really happy with how it performs. ... show more

  • Good option for practice or informal gatherings.
This amp is portable for sure as it is about half the size of a shoe box. It would be good for a portable practice amp, but the sound is not good enough for gigs. The clean sound is decent, but the distortion sound is pretty cheap sounding. Haven't been able to get the "wireless" feature working yet and there is no info about the wireless connection in the instructions, nor does the manufacturer's webpage have info on it. Overall an ok amp for practice or for playing an electric guitar alongside acoustic guitars around the campfire. 🎸 🎸 🎸 ... show more

  • Amazing little practice amp
Living in an apartment means I can’t make too much noise, so practicing guitar is a challenge. In comes the 10 Watt Asmuse Electric Guitar Amp. I have been very impressed with its features. First off, it has an internal battery to make it portable all charged by USB-C. The Clean and Overdrive (pressed by a button) sound great and can get quite loud. The Gain and Tone knobs help refine the sound and do the job well. There is also a headphone jack to practice quietly without disturbing the neighbors. I’m very impressed with this little amp and it has made me get back in to playing guitar once again. ... show more

  • It's OK, I guess for what it's made for...but I had a littel concern over it...
There's nothing special I can really show you about this little amp. It is what you see it as. But i couldn't give it 5 stars because I wasn't real impressed with the actual sound quality I get out of it. I might have not really noticed, except I recently ordered a different amp...a little less expensive than this one and only 5 watts...but the sound is noticeably better than this one. I certainly won't name names here, its not fair to this manufacturer. If I just got this one, and didn't have a different one to compare it to, I'd likely think it was just fine...and it is fine for what it's made for. I think its more that the other little amp sounded unusually good (I don't know why) then this one sounds bad...it doesn't sound bad, it just didn't impress me as much. The advantage you have with this one, is more power. You can actually play pretty darn loud through this little amp. ... show more

  • Decent cleans, poor overdrive
As a practice amp this is decent. It's compact, rechargeable, has enough volume for practicing, and the speakers are OK. The clean channel sounds fairly good, but the overdrive didn't impress me at all. That's subjective, of course, with so many types of distortion ranging from fuzz to classic rock to metal or djent, etc. One of the biggest limitations of getting a variety of tones is the single tone knob. Most amps have bass, mid, and treble controls giving much more versatility. Also, like a larger tube amp, this unit is bone dry: there's no reverb or any other effects, so it just sounds pretty boring. You can use pedals, of course, or a multieffects unit, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a practice amp. I prefer more expensive units that have at least reverb built in. That would be difficult at this price, so some may consider this a good bargain. Personally I'd rather buy a used practice amp with reverb and/or digital effects. ... show more
